What is the diameter of the belled end and the plain end? Does the whole pipe have a 2-1/2 diameter?

Asked by Laurie August 23, 2015

Answer

See "SPECIFICATIONS" in listing. These will apply to the plain end. The belled end will fit over the plain end so the ID of the belled end should match the OD of the plain end. If for example, you want to know the OD of the belled end, you could estimate this by adding the difference of the OD and ID from the plain end to the OD of the plain end to get the OD of the belled end? Note that the wall thickness of PVC pipe is a function of schedule and diameter. I.e. the wall thickness of schedule 40 pvc pipe increases as the diameter increases.

Hard to say. I glued it together, threw it in a trench and covered it with dirt. I guess I could dig it up in 20 or 30 years to see how well it is working
