Good heavy thickness tubing. Fairly pliable in cold weather, but will be better in the spring and summer. I have the tool to puncture the sides and instal the adjustable drip fittings. With the thick wall it is a little more work, but the tubing will last a lot longer. Linking 2 rolls together gives you a lot of irrigation. Easy to link 2 rolls with a compression fitting. Looking forward to years of use.

This John Guest 1/2 in. x 250 ft. Polyethylene Tubing Coil in Black is a good high-quality 3/8 inch inside diameter plastic tubing. It comes off the roll, straightens out easily and maintains the new orientation. It retains its pipe shape well. Unfortunately, since I usually buy pipe or conduit not tubing, I did not realize that it was ½ inch outside diameter and 3/8 inch inside diameter when I ordered it and my current application, a 230-foot water line to my dock, needs ½ inch inside diameter.

I didn't order this with any immediate use in mind but I'm always in the middle of one project or another and I felt this tubing would be very useful to have on hand.
As shown in the images below this Polyethylene tubing, suitable for potable water, other liquids and pneumatic lines, arrived in a wound 500 ft. roll. Home Depot has it available in natural, white, blue, black and red. The outside diameter is 5/16 in., the inside diameter is 3/16 in. and the wall thickness is 1/16 in. Maximum working pressure is 230 psi at 70°F, 120 psi at 150°F.
John Guest warranties this product for a full 12 months when installed correctly and using approved fittings. Home Depot offers a very generous 180 return policy.

I want to use this tubing for my kitchen ice maker and drinking water faucet. The LDPE tubing can be used with most OD tubing connectors and I will use John Guest push-to-connect fittings and valves. This low density polyethylene tubing from John Guest is perfect for low temperature applications that need a flexible and tough tubing. I have this on the back of my refrigerator to supply water to the ice maker and water spigot. Also using under the kitchen counter to supply cold water. I am going put air line around my garage and this is the perfect tubing. It is very touch and flexible. When using get the push fitting to make your installation easy. One other place I am going to use is in my camper. I use the camper year round and this line will be perfect. You will find lots of used for a tough tubing like this, note I used as a vacuum line on a vacuum bag process making a carbon fiber part. Worked perfectly. Can be used with most OD tubing connectors including John Guest Push-to-Connect fittings and valves.
I used my ratcheting PVC cutter as it makes nice flush cuts with spotless cut.
Working pressures and temperatures: 230 psi at 70°F, 120 psi at 150°F
Chemical resistant (bases and acids).

I am using this for a new home build that I am doing. The John Guest 3/8 inch polyethylene tubing will work in many different areas, including water purification, reverse osmosis, and misting systems. It is strong enough to handle some pneumatic systems but has a small inside diameter of .250 inch. It will handle the desert heat at 120 psi for 150 degrees. The lines are also odorless and tasteless.

I've used John Guest tubing and fittings before and have always been impressed by their quality and performance. I recently acquired a roll of 5/16 inch x 500 foot roll of John Guest polyethylene red tubing that I plane to use for a drip irrigation project this spring. I really like the wall thickness of the tubing and it will handle very well the water pressure and outdoor conditions of my install. I definitely recommend the John Guest poly tubing for it's quality and durability.
