A: The opening might be sufficient, but it's going to be too wide. I think the flat pieces are at lest 1.25 inches wide, maybe more.

A good value for a combo water meter/lid key

The Jones Stephens Combo Key is a good value. It's decently strong and well constructed. My only complaint is that it's a little awkward using the lid key, but that's just the price you pay for a combo tool.
