Questions & Answers

Hi, how many ft in total this kit can reach? is it 30ft? as i calculate by 5pole x 6ft each pole. Am i correct? Thank yo

Asked by Tu December 19, 2015

This product has an 18 foot extension when using the three 6 foot extension poles.

is there a saw blade option that can be attached thx

Asked by john July 17, 2015

John, If I remember, you need to have a separate "head" to attach a saw blade. I purchased one after purchasing the pruner package. Please be aware that the "head" and saw blade are separate items that must be purchased as two pieces.

This is an outstanding product, but it's not for a homeowner. I purchased this package earlier this summer to replace an old pruner that wouldn't reach the branches that I needed to trim. When used with all three poles, the tool is very heavy and hard to maneuver. The poles can be easily connected and disconnected. However, when I tried to operate the pruner, the rope was so slippery that I had to tie knots in it every few feet to get a better grip. I also found that the pruner has only one pulley which gives it no mechanical advantage compared to my old two pulley pruner. I was pruning branches that should have been fairly easy to cut, but with only a single pulley on the pruner, it was very difficult. Unfortunately, the package only came with the single pulley pruner. I could purchase a two pulley pruner only for $80, but I had already spent about $200 on this package. The poles appear to be interchangeable, so if I had to buy it again, I would purchase the two pulley pruner and poles as separate items. It might be a great product for a lineman in a bucket truck with only one or two poles, but not for a casual user working from the ground with all three poles attached.

Works awesome. Paid for itself the first time I used it. It's really long with all three poles together. Most of the time I use it with just two. It's great that it comes apart and fits in the back of an SUV (<6ft instead of 8ft). Wish it had a carrying case for it all though. Will have to get one made.Currently using the box it shipped in. The blade and saw head are HD also. Very happy!

Quality hardware and durability!

My 30 year old pole pruner finally gave out so I replaced it with the same model. This model is more versatile because the pruner part can be replaced independantly from the poles very quickly. It makes for simple and quick parts replacement. This is a quality piece and is worth every penny!
