Questions & Answers

Has anyone figured out any tricks to disengage the poles after they have been put together?

The poles fit very snugly and firmly together with the ferule that keeps them from slipping. However, I am having a difficult time getting the 3 poles back apart. They are so snug after sawing some limbs that they will not disengage from each other (even after disengaging the ferule that locks them together. Any suggestions?
Asked by: Homeowner
Try some WD 40 . An extra pair of hands really helps.also . Keeping the poles parallel when assembling or disassembling makes a huge difference.

Does this reach 18' heights?

Three 6' poles... presuming all attach together to reach a height of 18', correct?
Asked by: MsLaughsAlot
Yes, well over 18 ft with 16 inch blade plus your height. I'm a 73 yr. old man 5'11" 165 lbs. with bad hands, wrists & left arm & I can cut at head height. Trick is approaching cut vertically then back away when blade is on branch to a more horizontal top cut & safer position. The pole is not heavy but the length leverage needs controlling. I've used it with my Little Giant step ladder to cut well over 25 ft high.

Can more that 3 poles be used to extend to 30', e.g.?
Asked by: Dave
Yes, if you had additional middle sections, they could be attached, but I think the flex/bounce in the handle would make it very difficult to cut anything. With just the 3 sections, the blade is hard to keep on the limb and in the cut.

I've only had the pole saw for a couple of weeks, but the blade cuts through big limbs just fine. I've used two of the poles for a 12 foot range, but I don't know if I can handle three poles. The torque on the blade may be too much for an old man like me (82) to handle. But, I really like the saw. My only suggestion is to offer a handle for the blade so I can use the blade without any extension on limbs that are on the ground. I need to cut the limbs into relatively short pieces so they fit in my garbage can. A great product!

This is a superior product to many that I have used in the past. I own a lawn care business and have for years only used Stihl products including their pole saws. The local Stihl dealer has closed so I decided to try this Jameson pole saw, and I am very glad that I did so. This pole saw is not only less expensive that the Stihl , but it has a longer reach, a nice bumper on the bottom end piece. The joints are a better, more secure fit, and the pole has less flex , even when all three poles are used. The saw blade is also longer than the Stihl version, giving you a faster cut. Made the cost of the pole saw back on the first job using it. Very Pleased with this saw

The extensions lock in good, and it is just getting the saw adjusted correctly for where you need to cut, gets a little wobbly and does take a lot of upper arm strength, but assembles and disassembles very easily. We have had it about a month since we needed it for Hurricane Irma. Wish it wasn't so wobbly with the extensions, but other than that very satisfied.

Enabled me to reach limbs I would normally have to use a ladder to cut. The only draw back and this is really just something that takes getting used to was with all extensions used for the full length the pole is a bit flexible and takes some time to learn how to compensate for this. Very happy with this purchase.

I have used this to cut 3-4" diameter limbs with one extension attached and it did a great job. When you attach the second extension, it is a little harder to control due to flex in the 18 feet of handle, but that is to be expected. The blade is great - I had no problems with it coming loose during cutting.

The corona will lengthen as you saw. Also nice to a just a saw, without the shear and the require rope. We will see how long the blade lasts, but it looks good for now.
