Ashes Gray 10-1/2" x 10-3/4" Basalt Mosaic combines light and dark gray shades in a linear stacked pattern. The basalt's texture finish adds dimension and creates a unique look. This mosaic is perfect for traditional and modern styles, especially high use utility rooms. Combine with other mosaics and field tiles to create impressive installations. For best installation results, use white polymer-modified thinset.
- 0.783 sq. ft. per piece, each piece sold individually. Piece weight equals 3.01 lb.
- Grade 1, first-quality basalt mosaic tile for wall use
- 10.5 in. width x 10.75 in. length x 8 mm thick mesh mounted mosaic wall tile
- Finish is unglazed with a smooth medium sheen and random shade/tone variation
- PEI Rating is not rated for Natural Stone, Glass, Metal and or other unglazed products.
- Non-vitreous flooring has water absorption of more than 7% for indoor use
- C.O.F. greater than 0.50 is recommended for standard residential applications and is marginally skid resistant; indoor use

AnswerSealing before grouting is the best way. Unfortunately, if you use a white grout it will be almost impossible to get every bit of the grout out of the grooves. Using a dark or black grout is really the only way to make sure the grout doesn't change the look of the stone
