I use this tubing for installs requiring a water supply or distribution. I prefer the larger role as there is less waste. This tubing is good for normal pressure applications. Be sure to use an elbow for tight corners as plastic tubing tends to pinch over time. I have had pretty good luck using John Guest products. They are made of of quality materials.

I’m using three John Guest Speedfit polyethylene tubing products, 3/8” Blue x 500 ft, 1/4” White x 500, and 1/4” Blue x 500 ft. o re-plumb an under-sink RO Water purifier system.
I’m using the 1/4” Blue and White tubing The 3/8” tubing is used for the drain which couples to a short length of 1/4” tubing coming off the RO Water system. I’m also using the 1/4” tubing to supply a water source from the RO system to an Espresso machine which sits on the kitchen counter.
The low-density polyethylene tubing is flexible and durable, and easy to work with. Available in black, white, natural/gray, blue, and red, the multiple colors help identify and organize different water lines (source, drain, faucet, etc.). Connections and coupling is especially easy with John Guest Push-Fit fittings, couplers, and unions. The bulk spools are convenient and cost effective. especially if you’re going to do multiple projects and need longer runs. Installation went smooth, good quality polyethylene tubing, I highly recommend.

John Guest Polyethylene tubing is the only stuff I use, It durable and can be used in door or outdoors. I used it for water project in the house and also in our barn, I just repaired some of our fly spray systems with this tubing and it works great. I have never had a failure on their tubing unless an animal had chew through it. You just can't go wrong with this tubing. Comes in a nice convenient role.

The 1/4" tubing is easy to work with, especially the push connectors. We used this to splice into the water line feed for our garage refrigerator. The tubing is flexible enough and easy to work with. I was able to feed it through a hole in our wall into the garage. It avoids kinks and bends. Insulating the tube in the garage is a good idea if you want your water line to stay running in a MN Winter.
I didn't order this with any immediate use in mind but I'm always in the middle of one project or another and I felt this tubing would be very useful to have on hand.
As shown in the images below this Polyethylene tubing, suitable for potable water, other liquids and pneumatic lines, arrived in a wound 500 ft. roll. Home Depot has it available in natural, white, blue, black and red. The outside diameter is 1/4 in., the inside diameter is 0.17 in. and the wall thickness is 1/16 in. Maximum working pressure is 230 psi at 70°F, 120 psi at 150°F.
John Guest warranties this product for a full 12 months when installed correctly and using approved fittings. Home Depot offers a very generous 180 return policy.

This tubing has a 0.6 GPM max flow rate. We use it on drip irrigation systems because it is extremely durable and holds up extremely well to sunlight and UV. With the large roll it is enough tubing to last us many years. It is a little smaller and stiffer than traditional drip lines but much superior. Can take pressure up to 120psi at 150 degrees Fahrenheit. We run the drip systems at 25psi.

This tubing is standard 1/4" polyethylene tubing. I find this tubing works well with standard push-on connectors The roll has stiff cardboard ends held in place with plastic spoolends. The tubing is rolled uniformly and unwinds without trouble. I use this tubing for both water and compressed air. Being polyethylene, this tubing will not corrode. The plastic spoolends press into the central cardboard tube that is spool core. The press fit makes a secure attachment as long as the spool is not picked up by one of the ends and dangled from that end. If dangled from a spoolend this type of spool can have the end pull out of the central core, requiring pushing the spoolend back into the core. That pulling out of the core is not a problem if the spool is mounted on a shaft or if modest care is taken when picking up the spool. This is a very good product that works well and is easy to use.
