Professional Style 180 W Silver Electric Food Slicer

I love this slicer! It is easy, safe and efficient to use and super affordable. It slices apples and beets perfectly for dehydration. Makes the job a cinch!

My first use was cutting brisket for beef jerky. Slices were all uniform and cut the meat with ease.

Very nice slicer. Simple to use simple to clean. My only issues is behind the blade ( you take off the blade to clean) there are four screw access holes that get debris in them.

We selected this online and it shipped to our home with no problem. we've been putting this through the wringer by cutting everything from raw meet as thinly as possible to your everyday veggies and this slicer has done an excellent job. The blade is incredibly sharp and cuts through raw meat easily as well as semi frozen meets. adjusting the thickness is as simple as turning the dial. This disassembles well enough for cleaning when done so you don't have to worry about any raw meet getting trapped in it's nooks and cranny's overall I'm pretty impressed with this as it small and compact and tucks away easily enough. My one complaint about this product is that it seems to wail like banshee after a couple of minutes of use. We've tried to pin point the noise to see what can be done to stop it, but we've haven't been able o pinpoint it. It's been this way since day one. but the noise hasn't gotten and worse (or better) over time and use. It's not really enough to make me not want to use it, but enough for me to give the product a 4 star review.

My wife loves this little slicer. It is fairly light and compact and easy for her to handle and use. She sliced cucumber paper thin and over ripe hot house tomatoes with tough skins sliced easily on #2 thickness setting but the last slice on the butt end tore the skin and would not slice through (see photo). We had to turn off and unplug the machine to remove skin. Sure it made a little mess with juice but if you have a lot of tomatoes you want sliced this is perfect especially if you like them thicker. Setting the thickness is easy and will slice from paper thin up to 1/2 inch thick for bread. There are reference numbers on the thickness knob from P (paper thin) up to 12. You can easily see the thickness by the space between the slide and the stop (see photos.) Everything about it is safety oriented from the well recessed on/off switch to the blade cover. Sliding tray moves easily and smoothly and the pusher works well. Most importantly is you are protected from accidents by the design. Of course there is no protection for carelessness or, excuse the expression, stupidity. USE THE PUSHER and NEVER, NEVER give into the temptation to hold anything small with just your fingers. Obviously large pieces of meat or a big cucumber type vegetable would need to be held by hand. Even then once it is small enough to use the pusher, USE IT. The blade is extremely sharp and serrated. Behind the blade is shaped to allow the thickest cuts to glide off easily. The slide table flips up easily to make cleaning a breeze and the blade is easily and safely removed with just a 1/4 turn of a built in finger washer, no tools or coin is needed. Considering the blade is awkward to handle leave blade protector ON when handling the blade whenever you can. It is more of a finger & hand protector that a blade protector. So slice away safely and eat well my friend.

This Kalorik food slicer is a good product in this price range. It is not like some of the cheaper all-plastic ones that I have tried in the past. The housing is mostly aluminum. It is not extremely loud and it functions smoothly. The 2-prong power cord is about 50" long. The suction-cup feet come in handy for stabilizing the unit while in use. The blade diameter is 7.5". The stainless steel blade is removable by turning the plastic screw counter-clockwise. I like the silicone blade guard that was included. The blade is sharp and nicely slices whatever I tried on it. It did well on bread and zucchini. I was pleased with how it sliced a ham. It will shave the food wafer thin or whatever size you desire, up to 9/16" thick by adjusting the dial on the left side. (I don't think I'll do much meat shaving because I had meat shavings all over the counter and wall! It was also difficult to get all the ham out of the area behind the blade. I had to use a toothpick to remove the meat from the screw holes.) The only things that I would have changed would be able to get a plate closer to the blade in the back and to be able to slice wider than 9/16" and to make the housing more stable so the cuts would be more uniform. It is easy to clean, except when you shave something like ham. The bar that holds the food carriage is released with a lever on the right, and the entire food tray with thumb guard can be removed for cleaning. This slicer is a good choice for average use, but it is not actually a 'professional type' slicer. It cannot run longer than 10 minutes at a time and must rest 30 minutes in between. It comes with a manual and 1-year warranty.

Works good. Could use more power(increase blade speed)
