Was just covering parts of the ceiling where water had leaked into the attic and into the room onto the ceiling. It as a difficult area where many things had to get covered including a ceiling fan. It left after spray everywhere. It shoots straight up but it stills leaves a dusting everywhere. It did cover the yellow stain sufficiently with 2 coats and matched the ceiling paint already on there quite well. I purchased it 2 weeks ago.

Hello Mari, thank you for your review. I’m so sorry the primer left after spray everywhere. I recommend either very lightly scuff sanding the surface if possible to remove the dried paint or cleaning the affected areas with a paint over-spray remover product. I recommend working with your local store for suggestions on an appropriate product that will remove the spray without damaging the surface. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please feel free to reach out to our Customer Care team directly for further assistance with this. Our team is happy to help you! -Joni Kilz

Worse now than before!
I think we got a bad can or something... the more we sprayed the ceiling, the darker the spot became. After three coats and allowing it to dry for 24 hours, we now have a 24" square brownish, oily-looking patch on our ceiling. So disappointed. I don't know... we shook the can for what seemed like 10 minutes to be sure it was properly mixed before application, too. Good thing it's the garage ceiling. We have another spot in our kitchen - no way I'm using this to cover it!

Hello there! Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear the spot on your garage ceiling you were trying to hide became darker with each coat you applied. Our UpShot Aerosol Primer is meant to cover heavy stains. However, it will not provide complete coverage, as it's not a paint. It will seal the stain in, but needs to be topcoated with the paint of your choice. We would recommend applying paint to a small test area to ensure your desired hide it there once the primer has been topcoated. If there is no visible stain, after topcoating, apply a coat to the entire affected area to blend and uniform your finish. If the spot is still coming through your primer and paint coat, we'd suggest repriming and recoating. I've reached out to you directly as well to assist you further. Have a great Saturday! -Joanna

I was disappointed in this product. 1) The can doesnt have much paint in it. 2) It takes two coats to cover the stain. 3) It takes 2 coats of ceiling paint to cover the Upshot. I was not happy with this product.

What a great product. I bought it to cover up a ceiling water stain. A nasty one from my teenage son that cannot remember to tuck in the shower curtain. The stain was 15 different colors of nasty. In less than 2 minutes I had the can mixed and the ceiling done. There is still an imperfect area where the stain was. The texture changed from the water but the color coverage is great. Best 2 minute fix ever. Then I got creative. I am a really bad painter. When I roller and cut in a wall I always get paint on the ceiling. I took a piece of thin cardboard and help it tight to the wall the sprayed the ceiling with this product. Instant perfect edges. Less than 5 minutes to do a small bedroom. I have spent a week on a room and not have it look that good. In the corners I did get a bit of overs pray on the side wall ( see photo). All this with one can and it is still half full. One of my photos looks like a blank white ceiling. Last week that was a 4 ft wide brown stain. It covered perfectly on both the stain and the bright blue paint with one quick spray. It does smell bad and you do get a little fine mist over spray. I just threw an old tarp on the floor. You could see the mist in the air but I only saw one noticeable while spot on the tarp but that may have already been there.
