Answer This Question

A:  If you live in zone 5 I would just give them a good 4 inch of new mulch around the base of each shrub. Roses do best if you wait and cut them back late March early April. Do not prune in winter. Pruning will encourage new growth which you do not want

      Beautiful Roses for our Landscape
We wanted to update our lndscaping this year. I purchased 6 of these rose shrubs for my front and 6 for the back. They are beautiful and I get compliments on them all the time as people pass by. These are such a pleasure to have and care for with so many beautiful blooms all summer and now into fall.

        Can't wait for bloom
She may not look like much yet but I am expecting big things come spring. Right now this rose bush is dormant because it is winter. Once the weather warms up I expect orange or coral colored roses and a full thick bush. Right now it just needs occasional water to keep it from drying out over the winter but basically it's sleeping until it warms up. I am storing thus plant in my garage as it stays wild in there.

        Knock Out Rose
We own a home with a one acre plot with a fair amount of space for landscaping all around our home. So when I saw these Knock Out Rose - Knock Out Rose 1 Gal. Double Knockout Rose with Pink Flowers, I snapped them up. Of course it’s still February, so we can’t plant them yet here in Maine. In fact the day after tomorrow, we are going to get hit with a foot of snow, so it’s definitely not planting time yet. But we’re storing them in a cold room until it comes the time we can put them in the ground. Then we’ll look forward to some decorative plantings.

        Looking forward to spring
When you live in the PNW, getting plants has a short buying period. With that being said you have to wait to put it in the ground because it is frozen. The alternative is to buy your desired plants and place them in a container and wait for spring! The Knock Out Rose-Knock Out Rose 1 Gal. arrived so for now I’ve transplanted in a container to plant in our newly constructed planter. The plant arrived with wonderful thorns that will deter our curious Boston terrier from going into the planter For now, we have to wait for spring, which I believe won’t disappoint I’ve included pictures of our expected results

        Beautiful, Lively, Full
These Double Knockout Rose in a one-gallon pot come with the promise of Pink Flowering blooms. The strong sapling that arrived was well packaged and had strong stems and full leaves population. The potting soil was damp and packaged well enough to survive tumbles during shipping. They arrived shortly after ordering and were healthy and pest free. This will make a great gift or addition to a healthy garden.

        Healthy and well packed
I got this rose bush because I wanted a rose bush that would bear red flowers to complement my pink roses. This Knock Out rose bush has not disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent packaging! It came in a box that basically prevented the plant from receiving any damage in shipment. Despite the great packaging, it was very easy to unpack. Usually, when I buy plants online, they arrive in terrible shape and there is dirt everywhere when I open the box; this one was the antithesis of my typical experience. The leaves were, understandably, in rough shape because it is bitterly cold here in the winter. But after just a week in a sunny window, it's perking up and sprouting new leaves. I'm really looking forward to the spring thaw so I can add this well-established beauty to my garden! Very pleased with this company and with the usual excellent service from The Home Depot!

        Excellent Quality
I recently acquired this beautiful knock out rose in a one gallon container and it was shipped to my house. I was so pleased they shipped it in a great hard cardboard container that could not hurt the rose bush or contents because it was packed very tightly. It is supposed to be long blooming, maintenance free shrub rose that provides a burst of color from late spring thru the first frost. Excellent for borders and containers. It needs to be fertilized regularly for more blooms.

        Beautiful Color
I recently acquired this beautiful knock out one gallon orange coral rose in a container. I have 3 other rose bushes with 3 different colors. This orange one will highlight my other three. It is supposed to be long blooming, maintenance free shrub rose and provides a burst of color from late spring thru first frost. It is excellent for blooming borders and containers. You will need to fertilize regularly for more blooms. I have not planted it yet but already know it will give my garden a nice splash of color.
