I had some concerns about buying plants online. The boxes they shipped in looked terrible, but the plants inside were okay. I planted them and watered them every other day for the first week, and now they're doing quite well. I absolutely love the knock out roses I planted in my back yard a few years ago, and I look forward to these getting bigger. Pictures are of the sketchy looking boxes, freshly planted roses on day 1, and the roses today (they've been in the ground for almost a month now). Last photo is of the knockouts in my back yard that are about 3 years old. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is the size. The containers were 3 gallons but the plants were not any bigger than the 2 gallon knockouts I could have bought in person.

Shipment sat for 3 days over Memorial Day weekend. Box was crushed. Plant survived and the only reason I didn’t return was that the yellow wasn’t available locally. It was supposedly at a discount but the price is the same now.

Disappointing color
The plant arrived alive but had brown spots on the leaves. I placed it in a planter the same day it arrived, added soil, mulched it with decomposed sphagnum moss, and watered it. The bush had many buds with a bright yellow outer covering. However, when the buds opened, the flower color varied from light yellow to almost white. This was a major disappointment, especially considering the premium price. And, the blooms lasted less than a week. Since it is planted, I will give it another bloom cycle but I will not be ordering any more. My experience with Knockout roses is that they should continue to bloom all summer. I have had the bush for three weeks and several buds are starting to appear but the original blooms are long gone.

They came looking healthy. We had already ripped out all the old plants/roots, and prepared the soil with compost a couple weeks before they arrived. (It really helped with the thick clay soil we have in the Texas gulf coast.) We applied root stimulator, and we think that helped get the plants acclimated to the new environment. We’ve had them in the ground around a month, and they seem to be doing pretty well! You may need to prop them up with some string and a long plant support stake until they get established. We’ve done that on 3 out of the 5 plants we bought, and I think it’s helping the plants. The stems have had a problem holding up the plant because there’s a lot of foliage on there. In general, 10/10, would highly recommend.

They arrived dormant and dried out with some dead leaves. After easy transplant to their permanent home and three days of steady rain - yeah for them - they have rebound and started blooming, even in all this TX heat. With the daily watering, they are also growing taller than when arrived. I am very happy with these roses and will likely add more of them to my garden next year, especially when they become fragrant.
