Hi, this is Laura with Kohler Co. I am happy to assist you with your question. The heater maintains the temperature of the water up to 104°F (40°C); it would take a long time to bring 90 degree water up to 100 degrees. Thank you for choosing KOHLER.

Answer

Bill, my name is Jessica with Kohler Customer Service. I am happy to assist with your inquiry. The recommended installation for K-1122-HR is either using constructions adhesive on the support blocks or using 1"-2" of mortar cement for installation. Thank you for choosing KOHLER.

Will using Epsom salt damage the pump or clog the jets?

Asked by Heidi July 1, 2018

Answer

Hi, this is Laura with Kohler Co. I am happy to assist you with your question. We do not recommend using oils, bubbles, or salts in whirlpools as these products could coat the recirculating PVC jet harness and dry out the bearings and seals inside the pump. This could cause build up and disperse black flecks out of the jets. Thank you for choosing KOHLER.

Very nice and quite operating tub! Small issue was not being told about a needing a special over flow drain kit, witch delayed our project and costed us more time, money and energy. Thanks!

The tub is out of spec. Do not buy this tub if your opening is exactly 60”. The 2 tubs I received were 60 3/16” and 60 1/8”. Also do not plan on just putting 1/4” material on the studs because the tile flange is out of spec also. You will be cutting custom thickness shims for each of the 3 walls.

Response from Kohler Product ExpertMar 4, 2020
Hi Joe, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm very sorry to hear your Archer 5' whirlpool bath is out of spec. The overall length should be 60" exactly. We would like to help ensure your next whirlpool arrives without flaw. Please email our team directly at KohlerCustServ@kohler.com. It's important to us that you are able to use and enjoy your Kohler bathroom! -Sarah S. Kohler Customer Service
Overpriced for quality level.
The tub is fine, but it's over twice as much as the similar model from American Standard. It was very hard to get a feel of over-all quality level before we made the purchase. Now that it is installed, it looks and works fine, but it has a slightly cheap feel as the edges flex slightly when you sit on them. for the money, I would expect better fit and finish. Also, the lack of multiple speeds for the jets and the inability to operate the heater independent of the main pump is surprising for a tub in this price range. Over-all, we've found Kohler to be of slightly above average quality but not enough to justify the inflated price.

Great deal
I bought this whirlpool tub after a price mistake...nearly 20% off. Thanks Home Depot!

Great tub!
We went for the heated whirlpool and it makes a very big difference. No more rapid cool down when using the spa feature. The extra deep tub makes for a much more encompassing whirlpool. If thinking about a lesser tub please kick it up to this one, you will not regret it.
