Artifacts 2-Handle Bridge Kitchen Faucet with Prong Handles and Side Spray in Vibrant Polished Nickel

I would have to say this is the most stylish, well made faucet line I have ever owned. We got the Artifacts bath faucet set and en.were so impressed, we had to get the same for the kitchen. The kitchen faucet is just spectacular. Installation was very straightforward. Instructions were very easy to follow and the kit came with all that is needed except the supply lines. As you can see this faucet goes well with our antique kitchen sink. This series of faucets are quality made with flawless design and excellent craftsmanship.

Met expectations.

My first thought about this Kohler Artifacts Bridge Faucet when I first received it was that it will last a lifetime. It is heavy, solid, and very well made. I installed it in the kitchen at our vacation home. Installation was pretty easy and only took 20 minutes. We have an enameled drop-in sink in that kitchen. This faucet looks good with it but an apron front enameled sink would look amazing in my opinion. That would give the perfect country kitchen feel. Maybe that will be my next project. At any rate, this faucet and the entire Artifacts line gives a very traditional feel while still remaining modern.

Any kitchen would be upgraded by adding this fixture. I really like the olde time feel of this sink faucet and side spray set with prong handles. Installation was easy, if you have installed a set like this in the past. If you do not have a lot of experience in this type of installation I would have someone there with you just to ensure that all instructions were being interpreted correctly. After installation I really have enjoyed use. Strong water pressure and nice appearance.

It is amazing how many times I have seen this faucet recently. I have been watching quite a few fixer upper shows lately and it seems this gorgeous faucet is a particular favorite, as a matter of fact the person in the show of the same name uses it exclusively in their remodels. No wonder why, it harkens back to a previous era but still looks like a modern, brand new addition.

Let me start by saying that as a plumber I've installed every style of faucet in every price range many times over. The Kohler Artifacts bridge faucet is on par with the most expensive faucets that I've ever installed at almost 2 times the price as this one. The first thing you will notice about this faucet as a sign of quality is the weight. Most faucets today, especially the many flimsy import bridge faucets, are light weight because they are made with very thin castings and tubing instead of solid brass. The chrome finish is flawless. The handles operate with almost no effort and the spout swings smoothly. Surprisingly the faucet is very easy to assemble and install so even the moderately accomplished weekend warrior can install it. It's truly a testament to Kohler's dedication to premium products. Because this is a premium product I have premium expectations, so here is why I haven't given 5 stars across the board. 1- The spout moves so freely that at times it will not stay where it was positioned. It tends to want to rotate on it's own back toward center. This probably won't be a problem if mounted on a stone top, but mine mounts into the sink which may not be perfectly flat. 2- I have the cross handles (which I love) but both handles turn on by rotating the same direction which seems counterintuitive for me. I think it would be best to use the same cartridges as the lever handles (Hot and Cold rotating opposite of each other). The quality is outstanding and hopefully this will be the last faucet I'll ever need.
