Not made only of brass as they claim in the specs.
Currently says "Material Brass" not brass/plastic but just "Brass". Yet, the majority of it is plastic. Look through the other reviews to confirm. Deceptive! I don't appreciate being lied to and therefore don't plan to ever buy another Kohler product.

Hi Josh, this is Lisa with Kohler Co. I am sorry to hear of your concerns with your new product. In reviewing the material makeup for this model, the ball joint is made of brass. There are other portions of the model that are made up of different materials, as well due to its function; copper alloy, plateable plastic and stainless steel. Thank you for choosing Kohler.

Product was listed as being made of brass, which was the deciding factor for the purchase. It turned out to actually be 2/3 plastic. The ball joint wasn't even strong enough to hold my shower head. No matter how I adjusted it, it drooped back down. I ultimately returned it for the plastic cheapie instead and that worked better.

This kohler hand shower cradle was purchased as a result of the original Kohler cradle becoming loose over the years and broke while trying to tighten it. This new cradle feels sturdier and was a breeze to install.

Product not all metal!
The product specs say metal, and the description touts the brass ball, which it is. The problem is, the part that holds your hand shower is plastic, Just like the other similars that cost less than half what this one does. The most common failure for this type of part is cracking the clamp that holds the shower. save your money and buy the cheap one!
