It's a Kohler, so of course it's well made, sturdy, etc. Looks great, too, with my hammered copper sink - the closest match I found after bringing home about a dozen different drains. Good install instructions, but I would add that the threads on the product where the bottom tube screws into the upper tube must have thread tape, and since I now have just a wee bit of seepage from the drain higher up, I'm going to unscrew the large nut that sits right under the black gasket and put some thread tape on there, then replace the nut, hoping that will solve the problem. This is not mentioned in the installation instructions.

Quality material and construction for this Kohler drain, gauging from the thickness of the tail piece and the weight of the main drain body. Much better than other unit I had bought online. Not 5 stars because the color is not really oil rubbed bronze, more like black.

Looks good. Matches our brushed nickel faucet well. And most importantly: drains well. We used this to replace a pop-up drain that kept clogging up. Initially, we bought another drain at the store, but after installing it found that it didn't drain well - took forever! So we returned it and ordered this one instead. I can't comment on ease of installation, since my husband installed him. I haven't heard him complain about it, so it must have been pretty straightforward to install.
