AnswersThis sink is very heavy and durable but yes it can chip the enamel if a heavy pot is dropped in it and it can scratch the surface over time. Some of the resin style sinks are hard material and withstand heavy pots dropping and scratches a little better than cast iron.

AnswersIt can be install either under or on top of the counter. The template that comes with the sink has cut outs for either type of installation.

AnswersYes you have to use a 3 7/8" drain, the 3 1/2" drain doesn't fit a Kohler sink.

this sink is a focal point and worth it

It is heavy as heck, and cost more than stainless but so worth it. It makes our Swedish box store cabinets and counters look high end. This sink is very deep and requires less scrubbing than stainless. I like the way it rises out ifthe counter. We are careful and our kids are grown so we hope that there will be minimal chips, if any. Totally worth expense for the daily joy of having and using nice things.

great sink. wanted to Change from stainless to cast iron for awhile and since we had down time for pandemic decided to do so. pretty heavy at 130 lbs but we did it. changed faucet also to a glacier bay. love how the look and work. word of advice though...use the Koehler drain to save a lot of time and headache with leaks
Cracks and rust everywhere!

Plumbers installed our sink a few weeks ago. There were no imperfections immediately after installation. However, a few days later, we started noticing cracks that have gradually gotten bigger and bigger and are now staining with rust. The sink is also scratching badly in the basin. So disappointing to install a brand new sink only to have it look like it’s 10 years old just a few weeks later. We will never buy another Kohler.

This sink is really beautiful. I really like how deep the sinks are. The drains are just back of center which is perfect for the new facet we purchased from Home Depot. We had our handyman help install this sink because of the weight. It does require 2 people to lower it into its place, but the hook up is very easy.

Very nice looking sink though the template was more for an under counter mount then over counter, But it wasn't difficult to fit after realizing it. It looks great and very solid. It would be very smart to have someone helping you install it due to its weight in case you have to adjust the size of the hole your fitting it into. It took me four tries to get it just right and pulling it out was a problem in itself. But with two people there should be no problem.
