Great shower.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with this shower. I was worried the 2.0 gpm would be less than desirable but it puts out plenty of water, no weak showers here. I also love that you can have water coming out of both showers at the same time and create your own fancy rain pattern or use the handheld shower at the same time as the overhead shower (granted with less pressure on both). I'm also really happy with the build quality, nothing about this feels cheap at all.

I had high hopes and expectations for this kit. We need a shower bar that has a lower selector knob so my wife can reach it. I understand there will be some plastic parts, that's just the way things are today. Not impressed, but it is what it is. However, upon doing the dry fit, I found the fatal flaw. It isn't designed to be installed on an exterior wall of a concrete block home. In Florida, most of the homes are made of concrete block, aka: CBS. Our shower is made of concrete board and tile and the piping and mixing valve are on the exterior wall. There's only maybe 1/2" or so of clearance between the CBS and the concrete board. The elbow for attaching the shower adapter is almost flush with the surface of the tile, though its recessed maybe 1/4". Then there's the Kohler shower adapter that is at least 2" too long for this application. So the bar can't get close enough to the wall. The lower fitting is over 1" from the wall with everything as close at it will get. I would need a much shorter adapter and at least 1" of the upper fitting's threads removed for this kit to work in our shower. Thus, while this may be great for a wooden home or an interior wall shower, it will NOT work for an exterior wall shower on a CBS home in Florida .. or anywhere else they build hurricane resistant homes.

Excellent Customer Service ... and shower column
The main "hydrorail" element is very satisfactory, and though the "Awaken" bits are less than stellar, customer service assisted us to upgrade to "Artifact", though the mistake was ours.

2 years and hydrorail has failed
Bought the complete hydrorail system little less than 2 years ago, and the switch between handheld and rainfall has completely failed. Now water comes out from both when turned on, no matter which way I turn the switch, and water pressure is much lower since it’s been split.
I have only purchased Kohler for everything bathroom for my last 3 renovation...every disappointed with this product, now have to find a plumber to come to the house in the middle of a pandemic sigh. Avoid this shower system.
