Answersthe handles were not installed on the doors...they provide a template that needs to be taped to each door, before installing the handles...make sure to clean each side of the door with the alcohol swab provided, making sure the installation area is clean. from your description, I have a feeling that the contractor did not correctly install the handles...you can attempt to peal back and re-install or you can call Kohler and request new handles along with a template. it's not too difficult to install- just need to follow directions...hope this helps

Well Engineered and beautifully designed door. Youtube supplemental video instructions were very helpful. I am a novice DIY with basic tools and was able to install in approx 6 hours by myself. I did have to learn how to use diamond tip drill bits. You will want to do the same if drilling through porcelain tiles. The shower frame is designed to cover the anchor holes so there is some margin for error. As stated by others, if you are over 6 ft tall you may want to reconsider as you would need to duck under the bar to enter the shower.

Great product and easy install. The specs called for a 2.5 inch threshold online before ordering. The specs that came with it said a 3 inch threshold is needed. The only thing that needs that much width is the shower door sliding guide that is 3 inches and sits in the middle. I can tell 2.5 inches has a little overhang but still works as it is not weight bearing. Love the product otherwise.
