Excellent product and purchase experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this directly from Kohler only because it was out of stock at the local home improvement store, but was surprised with the superior level of purchase experience when buying the item directly from Kohler. I was worried about the shipment of something this size and with it being glass. It came very well secured and padded in its own wooden crate. Installation seemed to be a bit complicated even for a handy person as I read the manual ahead of the delivery but then I found the informational videos in the website and YouTube and those helped out greatly. Overall the product build and quality are superb, I am truly happy with the value of this purchase.

Such a beautiful shower door! Very clean with nice lines. It makes my shower look 10 times better than it looks already. The doors roll nice and smooth. The bypass doors make it easy for getting in or out on either side. Definitely a must have for all showers and shower bath component combos.

Beautiful door but small opening
The door is aesthetically beautiful. I did the brushed bronze because it was the closest match to my gold plumbing fixtures. However, read the dimensions. After installation, the glass door opening from tub to top rail is 58". A tall person would have to duck under the top rail to get into the shower each time. I'm 5' 4" so it's ok for myself. I feel like I just make it. It's a little disappointing that it's not made higher. Seems like a huge oversight for Kohler. However, the quality of the product is nice. It's been installed so I'll have to make the best of it. You can see in my picture where the bar is in relation to the shower head. The images Kohler shows has the shower head well below the bar height. Giving the illusion that the shower door has more height to it. Here, you can see it's clearly above. And my plumbing fixtures are all standard measurements for a 9 foot ceiling.

I am a fan of Kohler products, although some pieces are obscenely expensive. The Levity brushed bronze doors look lovely, but they are large and really don't enough support. They are wobbly in their channels and bang against the wall stops. You have to learn how to open and close them carefully.

Beware will not work in most fiberglass tubs
Bought this and was aware the tub needed to be 3" wide. Check that was fine with my tub. I found nowhere that the side walls of the tub had to be a certain height. After mounting the side rails on the wall and drilling into the fiberglass tub. I find out that when the top brackets are attached that they are higher than my fiberglass tub surround and you cant use the factory mounting holes. I had to make it work because I now have 6 holes in my tub. Kohler if you want to replace my tub I will change my review.

Hi James, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm very sorry to read about your experience installing this Levity showerdoor. We put a lot of time and thought into our products so it is disappointing to hear that you aren't happy. I'd like to take the time to share, all of the necessary dimensions can be found on the specification sheet on this page. Here is a direct link: https://bit.ly/2UuQ05x. The side walls on the shower should always be taken into consideration when installing a new showerdoor. For example, installed, the entire showerdoor is 62" tall. The walk through height is 54-7/8". The top track adds another 3". Taking these things into account, the height of the wall jam would be approximately 58" tall. You will also see a note mentioning that "the vertical opening should be a minimum of 64-1/2" (1638 mm) to allow for installation clearance." Please email our team directly at KohlerCustServ@kohler.com for additional assistance. We are here to help. -Sarah S. Kohler Customer Service

Bought two of these for a recent remodel of two bathrooms. Excellent shower doors. They are simplistic design, with more glass than metal, modern and smooth in operation. Definitely recommend. Wish the bumpers were the same color as the finish instead of black, but no big deal.

        very pretty and great value
This is a super beautiful addition to our bathroom and probably took about 3 hours to install. It would have probably been shorter if we had the proper drill bits to go through tile but we got it figured out. Love it and would order again.

Gorgeous shower doors! We ordered these about 8 months ago and the box was sitting outside all that time. Contractor installed for us this week and they look amazing! My husband keeps commenting that he thought the shower doors would look cheap but he was envisioning the cheap ones you see in an apartment. He (and I) think they make the bathroom look way more expensive. I really don’t know how anyone would install unless they were a professional. Very heavy, etc.

Door is beautiful hung but had a small chip in one door. Didn't notice until we had it hung. Not very noticeable but disappointed. Directions should be more clear on where you install it on tub edge. We did in the middle and had to do it again so it fit properly. Beautiful modern looking door but only rated 3 due to instructions and small chip.

First let me say we LOVE this door. For my particular situation the door proved difficult to install. This is because one of the side rails needed to mount over an inside shower porcelain towel holder/bar. So, I needed to first remove the towel holder by breaking it out of the tiles. Then I had to replace the affected tiles which is always challenging to do without damaging adjacent tiles. In the end I had to replace 10 tiles (about 5 on each side of the side wall where the porcelain holders previously existed). Of course, I didn't have any leftover blue tiles (the tub/shower wall is a checkerboard pattern) so I had to special order them from the manufacturer. After applying the red guard, replacing the tiles, applying the grout, and sealing the grout, I was finally ready to install the actual shower door. This turned out to be the easy part of the whole project. I highly recommend a quality carbide drill bit set if you are installing this door into ceramic tiles. I used this one and it performed perfectly: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Bosch-Carbide-Tipped-Drill-Bit-Set-for-Drilling-Natural-Stone-Granite-Slate-Ceramic-and-Glass-Tiles-NS2000/301427910 You will be drilling about 10 holes into the tile wall. Make sure you have quality silicone to seal the door once you install it. A hacksaw is also a must to shorten the top and bottom rails to the proper length. You should have someone assist you when it comes time for mounting the doors themselves as they are each very heavy. We were surprised as how thick and high quality the glass is on these doors. The doors slide almost silently and very smoothly back and forth. There are rubber bumpers on each door side so that you do not damage the doors or the walls if you open them too quickly. The only negative thing I have to saw about this product has to do with the shrink wrapping they use for the parts. The shrink wrapping adheres/bonds to some of the smaller parts, like the rail caps and the roller caps and is impossible to remove. It took longer to try to remove with a variety of methods this plastic wrap from these chrome pieces than to install the doors themselves. Kohler really needs to rethink this aspect. Someone in their QA department needs to try to take that shrink wrap plastic off all those parts included in the package and see how difficult and annoying it truly is.

I found this to be a very high quality and well built shower door. Operation is smooth when installed properly. Note that this style is not your typical type of door. The main track on top sits in the middle of the doors, with one sliding on the inside, and one sliding on the outside. Because of this, you must have 2" of flat surface on the edge of your tub! Also note that the inside door will be sliding right next to the inside cove on your tub, which limits your elbow room while taking a shower. If you have a large enough tub like I did, this is not an issue, but I thought it should be considered. Installation is no joke with this door! Do not fool yourself and think you can do it alone - get help as each door is made of 3/8" glass and weighs approximately 75 lbs! This actually helps the door to feel more stable after being installed, but doing the installation is a two person job. The only other gripe I had was the shrink wrap on the hardware - it was wrapped so tight that the plastic did not want to come off the parts. I spent an extra half an hour unwrapping everything! Still, I like the way the hardware was labeled as it made installation very straight forward and simple.

My one complaint is that the door handles are attached with 3M tape. I feel that these will probably come loose over time with people yanking on it especially with all the moisture. Other than that, I was pleased with the quality of the doors. It is definitely worth the extra money to get these thicker sized doors. (These are 3/8 inch) I believe that a thicker glass functions better with the semi-frameless design so that the doors roll easier. The thicker glass is also stronger and better looking and provides a more upscale look. The panels are very heavy though, but extremely solid. We joked that if we dropped this thick glass, we figured it would break our floors before the panel itself would break. The doors both slide back and forth all the way. They slide very smoothly and very quiet. Most of the parts were metal. The outside of the rollers were plastic, but the internal portion of the rollers were made of metal. It was also a simple DIY install. It only took 2 people under 3 hours. If you have a strong drill, someone strong enough to lift a very heavy glass panel, and something to cut metal, you can do this.

Very straightforward installation. I'm a fairly solid diy-er and it took me a steady three hours to install. (The longest part of it is always drilling through tile.) I could do another in two hours pretty easily after this one. Instructions were easy to follow with big, simple to read pictures. The parts were intuitively packaged and separated - they are heatshrinked onto a cardboard sheet that lays them out in order of use. It feels very firm when installed and is extremely adjustable. Each wheel can be raised or lowered depending on desired height. I'm extremely pleased with the installation. It looks good and feels solid like a quality piece should.

This tub door kit looks amazing and can be installed by a DIYer. I'm in the middle of restoring a small bathroom and wanted to add a tub door to make it feel larger and a little more high-end. This set accomplished both and I couldn't be happier! I was able to install the doors myself and even though the process was a little lengthy the instructions that were included were thorough and very easy to follow. From the time I opened the box every step was documented with words and pictures and made the whole process very straightforward. The included hardware looks great and everything from the handles, to the nice thick glass, to the beefy rollers feel sturdy and look perfect. My wife and I both love the look of this tub door and couldn't be happier!

Overall, it offers a very nice, clean look. We are having a couple of issues--one with installation. The one panel sits higher than the other, as it shows in the picture. I am not sure whether this might be a manufacturing issue with out unit or it's the design. The other thing that disappointed me a little bit is the water marks on the glass. Based on the materials I read, i expected that the water marks would be minimal, which is not the case even from the first time of use.

Just a perfect accent and utilitarian accessory for any tube. Those who complained about the clarity of the install instructions or the difficulty of installation are wrong. I was especially surprised by the review of a 30 year contractor who had such trouble. I had no trouble what so ever installing this in approx one and a half hours. I am a medical Diagnostic Sonographer by profession and I did this DYI. If your looking to modernize your bathroom remodel with upgraded accessories without the upgraded price. This is the Tube enclosure for you.

AWFUL would be a generous word to use while describing this bathtub door. 3 days after installation by a well-known professional installer, the glass doors started separating from the bottom tracks. They swayed and made a frightening noise as if they were about to crash. The meager amount of silicone in the tracks peeled out almost entirely. Pieces of flexible plastic "cushioning" between the glass and the bottom track came out entirely. We are now stuck with a contractor's bill to remove the door, take it back to Home Depot, and install a new door of a different brand. Here's the kicker: we purchased two of these doors, one bathtub and one shower, for two bathrooms. The bathtub one is the one that's falling apart. When the contractor opened the box of the yet-to-be-installed shower door, guess what - he found the glass and track separating from that one too!!! Stay away from this junk. Kohler should be embarrassed to make such a product. Pictures attached to show the extent of lack of quality control.

Love the doors. Reviewed the instructions several times before installing, making sure I fully understood the reason for each step. They went up as instructed. I did have an issue with the door guide at the bottom. When unpacking the goods, that piece was out of the vac sealed strip. I later realized it was bent. If I had not noticed it and was not able to straighten it out prior to installing , it would have been a BIG issue. That piece needs to be FLAT on the tub. It was not easy to straighten but I did. End result "They look beautiful!!" and operate nicely.
