1) the glass doors are practically floating above the tub - hanging on the top frame. So, only the frame is attached to the tub - there is no rail at the bottom. As a contractor installed my doors, not sure how the bottom frame is attached to the tub, but looks like it's glued. The frame is drilled into the wall. 1) the towel bars are attached with screws through holes in the glass - Not glued on.

My tube size is 55 by 55 will this door work for me?

Warning - design flaw please ready before you buy
This product has a major design flaw and it will lead to water damage. Center bar is holding the glass door that is simply too wide and it’s leading to problems. I am attaching few pictures so you will have a better idea. -inside glass door is too far inside of a tub. Gap is big enough to slide fingers into it and water is bouncing from ground and coming outside -inside glass along with the handle is taking extra 5 inches of space inside the tub - handle is only on the one side of the glass so if you use the same side to enter and exit the shower you are out of luck Extra gap at the bottom and space is a MAJOR design flaw. Designer of Kohler this door should be fired and Home Depot should immediately pull the plug on this product. Now I have tons of holes in my tiles and need a figure out a way to safely deal with glass to return this door if possible. It’s wouldn’t be safe to unassailable everything especially glass doors. I spoke with Home Depot manager today and will reach out to manufacture. I hope this will be helpful for others.

Response from Kohler Product ExpertFebruary 28, 2020
Hello AtulM, my name is Sarah with Kohler Co. I am sorry to hear your Levity shower door is not containing the water inside the shower. This is nothing you should expect when you choose a quality Kohler product. Depending on the location of the leaking, here are our recommendations. If the leaking is happening between the shower doors, the door size should be checked. If the door is too small for the opening of your shower, it would create a smaller overlap. When using the shower, the showerhead should be pointed away from the glass panel. The inside panel should be closest to the showerhead when running. If the leaking is occurring under the door panels, we suggest lowering the panels to reduce the gap between the panel and shower ledge. If the leaking is occurring under the threshold we suggest checking the shower ledge to see if there are curved corners between the wall and bottom ledge. If so, the wall jambs should be trimmed and filed to match the curvature on the shower ledge. Lastly, the threshold should be sealed with 100% silicone. We suggest removing the silicone and reapplying it along the front surface of the threshold and along where the wall jamb and shower ledge meet. Let it cure per the silicone manufacturers recommendation. Please contact our Customer Service team at KohlerCustServ@kohler.com so that we can follow-up to ensure this gets resolved. We are here to help! -Sarah S. Kohler Customer Service

I was really let down by the overall quality of this door. The bottom metal rail that is installed at the factory on each piece of glass with silicone looked like a 5 year old had done it. Silicone was bulging along the joint and smeared up on the glass. Also each piece of glass has an etch mark the top edge in the center. At first I thought they were cracks but on closer inspection it is some kind of deep scratch. I debated returning it, but decided to live with it. It serves the purpose and still looks better, cleans easier, than a shower curtain.

These doors look beautiful in the photo, but the photo neglects to show that the black rubber stoppers seriously detract from the sleek look of the doors. Worse yet, there is a big 1.5" gap between the doors that lets a lot of air into the shower (this is annoying in the winter when cold air comes into your warm shower). Even that isn't my least favorite part though. That honor goes to the doors' inability to keep water in the shower. It splashes out no matter what you do - the instructions tell you to install an extra strip to prevent this, but the strip is useless. Terrible doors. Wish I could get my money back, because they sure weren't cheap.

Hi Lauren, my name is Sarah with Kohler Co. I am sorry to hear your Levity shower door has too much of a gap causing water and air to pass by under the doors. We would suggest lowering the door panels to reduce the gap. Please follow the link showing how to make the roller adjustment: http://goo.gl/Mmj7YK. If you have any questions or are still having problems, please contact our Customer Service team at KohlerCustServ@kohler.com. We are glad to help! -Sarah B. KOHLER Customer Service

We purchased this unit due to it's highend look for a reasonable price. It does look highend. Installation was easier then I anticipated, which took me 7 hours to install, I work slowly and cautiously. The doors slide very easily. There was limited cutting, I recommend buying a new hacksaw blade to start. Important note: FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS TO THE TEE, read and reread the instructions before starting, measure twice cut once. I would recommend these door.
