It comes with the door bars if that’s what you mean by hardware. Everything needed to install is in the box - except tools and an assistant. :)

Hi, this is Laura with Kohler Co. I am happy to assist you with your question. Both shower doors slide smoothly to the left and right. We recommend the inner panel be closest to the showerhead to prevent water from escaping between the door panels. Thank you for choosing Kohler.

Do both doors slide on this model?

Yes. They bypass each other.

How does the towel bar attach to the shower door?

I believe there is a pre drilled hole in the glass to thread the bar ends and then secured with a decorative screw cap on the other side.

I have a 57 inch width door. will the 59 inch x 74 inch door be the one to order?

Yes, my opening was about the same. The doors will overlap slightly. Very simple installation too. Just make sure your wall and curb are plumb and level.

What width do I need on my shower curb to accommodate the doors? Not the 59-5/8", but the smaller width from front to back? About 2"?z

Asked by DustinS January 19, 2016

At least 2.5 inches

Is there something to grab on both sides of each door to open and close them?

Very easy to install compared to the last one I put up. Straightforward instructions and was able to do the complete assembly myself. I was a bit worried when I picked it up at the store. The box was damaged and couldn't easily check for damage. When I got it home and opened it up, everything was intact

It looks good, but had a scuff mark on the handle. It looks like it came damaged in this way from the box. I can provide a picture, and would like to see if I can get a credit for the cost of this imperfection as I would in the store. Please contact me via this email address.

Response from Kohler Product ExpertJanuary 3, 2020
Hi Cd, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm sorry to hear your Levity showerdoor is leaking. This is nothing you should expect when you select Kohler. If the leaking is happening between the shower doors, the door size should be checked. If the door is too small for the opening of your shower, it would create a smaller overlap. When using the shower, the showerhead should be pointed away from the glass panel. The inside panel should be closest to the showerhead when running. If the leaking is occurring under the door panels, we suggest lowering the panels to reduce the gap between the panel and shower ledge. If the leaking is occurring under the threshold we suggest checking the shower ledge to see if there are curved corners between the wall and bottom ledge. If so, the wall jambs should be trimmed and filed to match the curvature on the shower ledge. Lastly, the threshold should be sealed with 100% silicone. We suggest removing the silicone and reapplying it along the front surface of the threshold and along where the wall jamb and shower ledge meet. Let it cure per the silicone manufacturers recommendation. Please contact our Customer Service team at KohlerCustServ@kohler.com so that we can follow up to ensure this gets resolved. Your delight is our top priority! -Sarah S. KOHLER Customer Service

I chose this door because of the 74 inch height and availability of a towel bar. The 74 inches matches my surround perfectly. I also wanted frosted, but it was substantially more than clear. The trim at the bottom of the glass panels are logical in protecting against breakage, but they are glued on with silicone adhesive and they did a sloppy job, as seen in photo. There is no excuse for that, masking tape can be used to create a neat bead. The same trim is too long for the glass and offsets to one side which keeps the door open even more than design allowances, as seen in photo; a full 7/16 gap which also prevents the door from contacting the bumper. Further, errant silicone was found on one glass panel towards the middle on the frosted side which is impossible to remove completely. The frosted finish is not homogenous and makes the door look like it is covered with water spots. From a distance it is okay and I like the soft grey-green light as filtered through the glass. The top rail takes the weight of the doors and actually sags slightly giving the appearance of being out of level to a discerning eye. Be forewarned that the installed 2 doors have a space of 1 3/8 in. between them. However, there is sufficient overlap in my 59 inch width installation. The towel bars are strong enough but the fabrication of them was sloppy. When looking from end to end the out of alignment is obvious. Naturally they fit poorly. A half hour with diligent filing corrected the fit against the glass but they are less than true. The bottom door spacer guide caused the threshold to lean out of square. It is unforgiving and when taken apart some damage occurred necessitating me to use a fastener into the shower pan ledge, which really is not the best practice. But it is square now and quite secure. The wheels at the top do appear they will live longer than me and have enough friction so the door does not move too fast and slam against the wall. Personal preference; the medallions that trim the wheels could be 30% smaller and still hide the wheel. Finally, the "bolts" that attach the towel bars also act as a knob. They are less than 3/16 in. proud and a poor means of moving the door. No doubt it is a fingernail breaker for some. With the 1 3/8 in. space between doors, they could have at least provided a 1/2 inch long knob and still had a safety barrier against contact.
