Love this door, with one exception. If you are taller than 5’ 10” you will be ducking under the rail to get in the shower. On our low profile shower base, the bottom of the rail is only about 5’ 8” off the floor. I am 6’ 1” tall and my head is well above the rail as you can see in the photo. The glass is 74” tall. The rail top of the rail is 70” tall. If Kohler made a 78” version of this door, it would be perfect. I looks great with the frosted glass.

I love the look of this. It's absolutely gorgeous. I specifically bought it for the look and for the brag of the clean coat technology (easy to clean). I am a neat freak and clean often. The glass is not very easy to keep clean. I will give it that it's in a high traffic bathroom and used daily, but I don't have hard water and wipe with a squeegee after each use. The glass gets filmy fairly easily. Its essentially impossible to clean at the top in between the metal frame and glass because its so close together. And the worst is the bottom metal track. It's been less than 2 years only and there is a constant film at the bottom and the metal is almost corroding. Happy with the look still, but wish they were really as easy as they claimed to keep clean.

I wanted a cool looking frameless overhead bar design glass shower door to finish my downstairs bath remodel. Also, the design had to be one that I could install myself. The Kohler Levity Semi-Frameless unit fit the bill perfectly. While it is not a true "frameless" design shower door it it certainly looks like one. My concerns about water leakage trumped my desire for the totally frameless style look and the Levity model won out. The Silver color model (polished aluminum I think) compliments the Chrome plumbing fixtures and matching hardware that was used throughout the bathroom. The 74" height of the glass panels combined with the 4" height of the shower base sill ensures that no overspray finds its way out onto the floor. The installation took me about a day and a half. The shower unit is well packaged in a very sturdy heavy single shipping box. There are no loose pieces to lose - Kohler has shrink wrapped all the small parts into well thought out cardboard panels that are easy cut out as you need them. The instructions are great but I did go over them several times to fully grasp the installation procedure. The tools required are probably in every homeowners existing tool bag - nothing out of the ordinary or costly to purchase. Way over half of the installation time was spent drilling the 10 required fastening/mounting holes. Everything went together easy peasy with no hitches and the fine tuning of the roller system took less than ten minutes. A couple of notes: you need a helper for schlepping the box from the store as well as for installing the two panels - they are really heavy. Be advised that drilling holes in the tile surround can be a bear - mine is porcelain and was a real challenge to drill through. If you are dealing with ceramic or stone it shouldn't be an issue. Kohler allows you up to 3/8" out of level at the base (floor) and 3/8" out of plumb at the walls for those of us who do not have consummate framing or masonry skills. The finished product looks great and works even better. Everyone who has seen it thinks I am a bathroom remodeling savant! I highly recommend the Kohler Levity shower door!

These Levity shower doors look really nice, they are very modern looking and are made buy a good manufacturer Kohler, I've had one of their low flow toilets for over 20 yrs. The frame is minimalist and almost disappears. The doors came very well packed on their own pallet in a large open toped box with the frame & doors in their own strong boxes standing up (7'3" tall, so if you want to put it in your garage for storage you'll need 8' doors). I was worried about shipping such a fragile item, but as I said it was well packed. I should mention that when ordering for a residential home delivery make sure you tell them you want a small box truck with a lift gate, which may cost extra but really worth it, as the unit is very heavy in its shipping pallet and trying to take it off a big tractor trailer without a gate is impossible (unless you have a compact John Deere tractor with pallet forks ;) LOL ) Other things to note, make sure you have the exact right dimensions for the opening of the door as there really isn't too much wiggle room. You might want to put some caulk underneath the bottom rail before installing it. Get a friend to help you, it's really much easier with 2 people to install. The handles are peel and stick, just make sure you figure out ahead of time where you want them for getting in & out of the shower, and the correct height that will work for you and your family. The instructions are well done, there are parts of the process that will take time to dry before proceeding to the next step.

WOW! Kohler’s Levity shower doors are BEAUTIFUL! The 3/8-inch-thick Crystal Clear tempered glass is out of this world! The doors look amazing and their weight makes them so luxurious. The rollers and track are superbly engineered so they slide open and closed with almost zero effort. They stay exactly where you put them—no little extra movements, just perfect harmony in the shower door world. The roller track is keyed, so the doors CAN NOT fall off. That’s a big deal, and if you have ever had a shower door fall off its track, you’ll appreciate that being a thing of the past. Installation was straightforward. The toughest part of the installation was removing the “This Side Out” sticker on the door—half of it was under the top rail upon installation, so I had to let the citrus cleaner soak a bit longer. Note the doors are heavy. They’re 3/8” thick, so the weight is to be expected. It is handy to have another person around for installation, but if you’re used to lifting heavy things on your own you’ll be fine. My original order came with a small assembly defect—the metal piece on the bottom of the doors was installed at the factory just a bit off center. One phone call to Kohler and the issue was resolved. They shipped a new set of bypass doors to me right away, arriving 10 calendar days after my phone call. Kohler, your customer service is fantastic! The representative I talked with is kind and asked great questions to clarify my issue. Feel free to contact me for her name and if you would like my feedback on her excellent service, but I’ll summarize my experience by saying I now have every confidence to continue recommending Kohler not just for your top-notch products, but also for your customer service and responsiveness to issues that arise. Thank you, Kohler.

Stunning upgrade. That is the only way I can describe the frameless shower doors. The Kohler levity doors glide smoothly, are adjustable if your walls are not square and are substantial to boot. I was surprised at how much of a change adding frameless shower doors would have to my bathroom. It really opens up the room more and adds a pop. The install took about a day, but that was mostly related to repairing the enclosure from the original doors I had. The Kohler box to shower time was probably only 4 hours. The instructions are good and take things at a slower pace to make sure you get it right the first time. If I had to point out a few issues, I would ask why are 2 of the stickers on the door attached with easy to remove adhesive and then 4 others use bad adhesive requiring anger and special glue removal tools. and I will mention the handles are attached with strong 3M tape, so folks are not surprised like I was. Keep in mind you will need help lifting the glass doors, they are massively heavy. Overall, the doors look top notch. The edges of the doors are crisp and look great. The upgrade in my bathroom really does make the room look bigger.

BEAUTIFUL AND HIGH QUALITY SHOWER DOOR! By far, the installation instruction manual for this shower door was the best I've ever seen! They were incredibly accurate. I would suggest reading the entire installation manual so you can get a feel for how all components go together. By following the manual, this is pretty easy to install. The glass doors are quite heavy so you will need assistance when installing. The board which houses the components is shrink wrapped and you literally go from left to right while installing. This made it nice as it follows the instructions step by step. The rollers can be adjusted if needed. Brackets can also be trimmed if needed to fit your space. The doors will overlap more in the middle if you have to trim the mounting brackets. Make sure you buy the size most fitting for your width because you want to have enough walk-through clearance of the door opening. Shower door is absolutely beautiful and sophisticated with a simple frameless clean design which really makes a smaller bathroom look much larger and modern. I love this look and I would not hesitate to recommend this shower door!

      Modern Door
The unit is very stylish, the doors are HEAVY, it takes a moderate amount of time to install, and the instructions were clear for installation. The main concern prior to purchase was with, a minimalist design can it keep water inside while showering? Yes, it does provided the doors are assembled correctly and sealed around the jambs.
