Just what I was Looking for
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Adding a new bathroom in a remodel I knew I wanted some sort of ledge or seat to make shaving and storage easier. At the same time I did not want to do a full tile shower pan as this is on a second story and you can try and make something water proof, but there is always a what if factor. I liked the fact that the pan comes up in the back to add to the waterproofing. I was very worried about shipping direct from Kohler, but it arrived well packed and no damage. Contractors seemed pleased with it and it looks great with the tile. walls installed. I did read one review about it being slippery and I find it no different then other tubs I've used and at this time I do not see a reason to add anything to the bottom for grip. I could not find a good example of what the shower doors would look like, so I have included a picture for others to see. I went with custom shower doors from a local provider.

The Kohler Memoirs base measurement is shown as 60" wide....
The Kohler Memoirs base measurement is shown as 60" wide. The actual measurement is 60 1/2 ". We had to reframe one wall of the shower to accommodate it. Kohler is very irresponsible for giving the wrong measurements!! The last Kohler product we will buy!!!

Definitely not an average DIY project. The on line instructions differ slightly from the instructions shipped with the unit, rely on the ones shipped. I found it best and easier to use a FULL quick set mortar bed under the base rather than just under the suggested 5 or 6 support areas. The anchoring flange area varies in thickness, so be sure to use the thickest point when measuring for furring strips. Rather slippery surfaces, had to buy a shower mat and one for the seat as well. Replaced a neo-angle corner shower, I love the extra space, wife loves the seat. A well designed, excellent quality product worthy of the Kohler name.

Difficult
When installing a shower unit into a 60 1/4" opening, the shower base should not be 60 3/8" at the top and 60 5/8" at the bottom. I had to chisel out some bottom plate mainly on the right side and hand plane the studs to make it fit. It seems to be built well. Nice and rigid. The mould to make it was just off.

Had to put 1 star, but doesn't deserve it!!
I am extremely disappointed in this product mainly that it was delivered with obvious "forklift" damage which penetrated the box and scraped the base in two places. Not to mention that I am now being told by the local tiling company who is tiling around the base rather than a shower surround could have tiled the base area with a bench seat for less money!! Using Travertine tile!! Do a better job of educating yourselves than I did is my best recommendation to anyone looking to install this item.
