AnswersGoogle the sink and look under specifications. That is what i did prior to purchase. This is a great sink as it has enough room on the sides to fit toiletries and other items you may be using at the time. The devonshire series does not have the same 'counter space'. Nice sink.

Save time and don't purchase this sink! Ordered this sink twice and it is beautiful but shows chips immediately! If this is what happens early on can only imagine after a bit of use! So disappointed. Have alway loved Kohler products but very concerned about quality lately.

I bought the combo pedestal with the sink. I also bought the matching toilet and tank in the Memoirs set. It looks fantastic in my master bath renovation!!! I might purchase more Kohler Memoirs pieces for my other bathrooms and have them match throughout my house! I'm very happy mostly with the sink, it's beautiful! I also used Kohler hardware for the 8 inch center faucet and other matching hardware! I'm glad I did.

Of course its beautiful on install.......
This sink looked beautiful when we installed it 9 years ago..shortly there after, maybe 3-4 years, it started to develope hairline cracks and stains. It looks awful now! For what we paid that shouldn’t have happened.

A beautiful pedestal sink
The sink and stand was delivered in great condition. Packaging was above expectations. I tried buying this special order from a local plumbing store but that was a disaster. Homedepot.com made it so simple. Installation went well. Time will tell if I start seeing hairline cracks like other people have reported. I believe running very hot water then cold water will cause cracking. So using common sense is important. Many people think the cracks add character to the sink. The small cracks in no way causes any problems.

Now looks like an antique Tea Pot
A few years into service and it now looks like an old tea pot. The glaze has apparently cracked / stained and has the look of a china vase from the ming dynasty.... Ming DOES NOT fit my design criteria in this wash room. Ugh!

Really Disappointed with this Kohler product
Looked great for three years, then the glaze started to craze. The basin is full of hairline cracks. I called the Kohler customer service with no help at all. We are a family of two, light use.
A neighbor purchased the "same" Kohler pedestal sink at a national plumbing supply house and I purchased mine at Home Depot. The savings at Home Depot was substantial from what my neighbor paid.
My neighbors sink still looks like new, mine, not so much.
Perhaps Kohler makes two lines of the same style sink to allow the big box stores to discount heavily. So once again, buyer beware... you get what you pay for.
On a side note, I have a 1905 original american standard pedestal sink in our house, and it looks better than the Kohler installed in 2005.
I'll buy another Kohler faucet, but never again a Kohler fixture.

Hairline cracks
I have an old house and this sink fit the style.
The sink began to develop two or three cracks behind the drain and leading up to the overflow holes within 2-3 years of being installed in 2004. Within the past year (nine years later) it's now up to a dozen hairline cracks. I suspect it has to do with the shape of the basin, which has a D-shaped profile instead of either a consistently oval or consistently squared-off shape. All the cracks in the basin run front-to-back along the one edge that forms a sharp right angle nearest the back (the straight side of the "D"), closest to the faucet handles. I expect the three gradually rounded sides of the basin distribute expansion and contraction of the porcelain from hot water better than the right angle along the flat side of the "D." So probably an engineering fail on Kohler's part that may have nothing to do with the quality of the materials used.
I installed a Jacuzzi sink in 2006 where the basin has a consistently symmetrical oval basin and it has none of these cracks. I will avoid any sinks with a basin that has a D-shape (or any other shape that's not symmetrical) in the future.
I'm not down on Kohler in general. I have Kohler faucets on all three sinks in my home. The Fairfax faucet on this Memoirs sink and Coralais in the kitchen which receive the most use both had to have valves replaced within 6-8 years, however I'm told by local plumbing supply that's unfortunately typical with the heavy calcium and deposits in the water here, using any newer faucet valves manufactured in the last 10-15 years.
Plus for Kohler: my Kohler faucets can be fixed by replacing parts, unlike my parents' experience with an equally expensive Moen pullout kitchen faucet that had to be totally replaced after just 6-8 years just because some valve failed. Planned obsolescence on Moen's part. Kohler also replaced the hose on my Coralais pull-out faucet with an improved version of the hose under the limited lifetime warranty, six years after I bought the sink. That kind of service is part of what you're paying for. So I definitely wouldn't steer you away from Kohler in general, just definitely recommend you don't buy sinks from ANY manufacturer that don't have a symmetrical shape.
