DRIPS after one year of light use!
This was installed for a bath remodel in 2020. The unit recently started dripping. I am losing around one gallon per day. I expected better quality from Kohler especially at a nearly $200 price tag. Kohler, what recourse do I have to resolve this issue?

Only had it for one week
This was completely the wrong shower head for my family. We thought with the three different stages, that at least one stage would truly be a powerful stream. But not at all! It's so awful. All three settings are basically the same setting. The shower head does not evenly distribute the water and you basically can only get any water if you are directly standing under the shower head. There is zero force in any stream. It's honestly the worst shower head I have ever experienced in my life. And with girls who have extremely thick hair, forget about it!! Takes forever to rinse your hair out. My contractor and my entire family are extremely disappointed. We thought Kohler was a very good brand, but obviously not. The shower head leaks all the time and the faucet also leaks. The handle, stopping is just confusing and not necessary. We are stuck with a beautiful, brand new bathroom and we all avoid using this shower because of its lack of being a decent shower head. Trying to figure out the best solution now, since everything is completed.

First, this is darker than any brushed nickel I’ve seen. But that’s on me for not thinking I had to check if the fixture matched the box depiction. More importantly, this looks HORRIBLE after being wet. I’ve never seen anything like it. It looks older than the 20-yr old fixture we replaced. But since I’ve already paid for the installation, I can’t return it. Sure it functions fine. But it will make you angry every morning you look at it.

Contractor picked this out a year ago for our bathroom remodel, and it looked sharp, so we approved it. He didn't mention anything about install, so I can't comment on that. But after using it for a year now, I would not recommend it. The water spots collect on it and are extremely difficult to remove even after carefully wiping it down after each shower. It doesn't look nice at all anymore. And the temperature restrictor is annoying - I never really get hot showers unless I "trick" the faucet by letting it run a while first and then increasing the temp gradually. And just keep in mind, this 1 handle style doesn't allow you to control the pressure of the water - it's either on or off. Probably fine for most adults, but my kids like to play with the water stream during bath time, and there's no way to have it just trickle into the bath slowly unless you want cold water.

Waterspots, my name is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm sorry to hear you aren't completely satisfied with your Rubicon bath/shower faucet. Water spots can occur when there is more calcium in your water, causing "hard water". To prevent them, wiping the faucet after use will help, however, to remove them, we suggest using a white vinegar and water solution. Combining 50% water and 50% white vinegar will remove these "hard water" spots. The temperature can be adjusted on your valve. Do not buy any Kohler product with this valve
Extremely low water flow to tub and shower, even without the flow restrictor in the head removed. It limits your hot water temps even with the temperature stop removed. Takes over 20 minutes to fill our tub. Poor diverter design, uneven flow. Will not flow 5gpm at 45psi as stated. It's not a bad cartridge, it's poor design. Check the reviews, many people have trouble with this valve.
Other bathrooms have great water flow and pressure. We'll have to rip it out and replace it. Total disaster.

We would recommend removing the bath spout and running the water from the pipe, alone. If the flow does not improve, this indicates the flow from the valve is being restricted. Please also ensure copper piping is ran from the bottom port of the valve to the bath spout. If any other material is used between this junction, you may have a restriction in flow.
