DIY. Way to easy to pay someone. Just turn off water, final flush, towel out residual water, remove 2 nuts on toilet base, remove old wax donut, install new wax donut, tighten toilet nuts on base, reconnect water line, turn on water.....flush. Done
I only bought the one you asked about and not the other so I cannot make a valid evaluation. I would suggest contacting the manufactures of each to determine the difference.

When they say compact it's a little smaller and it's one piece not 2 like the standard units. I out it in my half bath.
Just buy the extra thick wax ring and you should be fine
