Update on Air Bubble Tub
This is an update on the previous review of the Kohler Serif air bubble tub. The remodeling project is completed. As originally planned, the tub and the chandelier are the main focal points in the master bath. My wife uses the tub every night and thoroughly enjoys its relaxing air bubble massage. With the different settings you can have a little variety depending on your mood. The evacuation cycle comes on automatically after 20 minutes and works as advertised. Just go easy on the bubble bath. We are very pleased that we purchased this particular Kohler Serif 5’ oval tub. In our opinion, it is a great value, performs well, and is very stylish. We continue to highly recommend this tub. I have attached a photo of the completed project.

Elegant looking air bubble tub!
Part of a master bath total remodel. A lot of time went into selecting this tub design. It has a very narrow lip which is a feature we wanted which makes it easier to get in and out of the tub. We built an oval frame that follows the contour of the tub and is very narrow in front. With the tub’s narrow lip the frame must closely follow the template. We used a tile top on the frame and it is very important to get the tile level; other wise there will be an obvious gap when you install the tub. This prohibits sealing with a clear caulk. It is also important to get the tile very close to the tub. It took two tries for our tile man to get it right. It is well worth the extra effort required in framing and tile work. The tub and chandelier over it are the focal points in the bathroom. We have not used the tub yet but it sure looks nice.
