Setra 8 in. Widespread 2-Handle Bathroom Faucet in Vibrant Brushed Nickel

This looks and feels so high end! I wanted something that had a gold color without being overly shinny. Not only does this fit that bill, but it also feels great in your hands because it's metal and not plastic. I had it installed with the vanity, so I can't say anything about the installation.

This is a really nice modern looking set. Everything other than the hoses needed for instalation are included. The handles are very smooth to operate, No leaks or drips. One thing to note, is that the handles turn in opposite directions to operate (hot: counter clockwise, cold:clockwise). Also, the brushed nickle set is NOT spot resistant. The directions included in the box are a generic set and can be slightly confusing. Luckily, the directions for this specific set can be found online (highly recommend using those). If you use the directions included, they tell you to use plumbers putty under the handles, this is not needed. Having a second set of hands is recommend to install so you can have someone holding everything straight while you tighten it up from the bottom. I will be buying another set for the downstairs vanity.

A little funky at first with the way it looks but I got used to it and think it adds some character. The handle is smooth,"firm" but at the same time glides. It's not too firm and its not so loose that it feels cheap at all. The neck does stick out a little bit for those who like it.

Beautiful and easy to install. It is very stylish and has a heft to it that screams quality.

Beautiful faucet, easy to install. The pop up drain is awesome, never seen a design like this one before. It has an overflow hole, doesn't require the lifter handle that usually goes on the top of the faucet, and the pop-up cover comes out completely for easy clearing. Very good quality faucet, heavy, not cheaply made. The brushed nickel finish looks very nice in any bathroom.

We chose the KOHLER Setra 8 in. Widespread 2-Handle Bathroom Faucet in Vibrant Brushed Nickel to replace our old bathroom faucet in our guest bathroom. The old faucet was not in good shape and we really wanted to upgrade the look in our bathroom. The handles are very modern looking and the installation was very easy. The instructions were super easy to follow and it took around 1/2 to remove the old faucet and replace with the new. It looks great.

This is a nice solid faucet. This is for a sink top that has 3 holes drilled in. The color is brushed nickel. Another nice feature of this faucet is that it coordinates with the entire Kohler Serta collection. This was easy to install and can be done following the inserted directions. Additionally, this faucet comes with a matching pop up drain. I would recommend this faucet!

Reminds me of my grandma's house and the old farm style bath faucet she had with her chipping porcelain bathroom sink. To me this is a faucet with a sense of nostalgia which I love. Maybe not as convenient as a single lever faucet but it has a heck lot more charm to it. Kohler makes a decent product using ceramic disc valves and ScratchShield technology and a spot resistant shield finish on this brushed nickel 8 inch widespread 2 handle bath faucet. Will fit 8 in. - 16 in. center holes. Could also be used in a more modern setting, retro or farm style. I think this is a classic look that adds fun to faucets! Easy install and comes with pop up drain assembly. Can't wait to put this in our new bathroom remodel. Rated at 1.2 GPM flow rate. No tools required for installation.

The Kohler Setra Faucet sets a new standard in quality. Ease of installation. Long life ceramic disc for durable performance. It comes complete with excellent instructions. This is a nice looking, two handled, widespread faucet. I really like how it brings an updated look to our early 1900’s porcelain sink. I chose this model (R29666-3D-BN) because the profile is similar to the original faucet, yet with a modern look. I also like that it is supposedly hard to scratch due to Scratchshield technology. As for fingerprints and water stains, only the matte black version has spot repel. While the finish does accumulate modest water spots and fingerprints, it wipes clean with a microfiber cloth. The packaging states this faucet uses less water than a 2.2 gallon per min faucet without change in performance. I agree with that. It may be putting out less water, but it doesn’t feel like it. I’m not sure how they did it, but the only way I can describe it is the water comes out “heavy.” It’s a tight stream that feels like more water coming out than really is. It’s pretty cool. Installation wasn’t as straight forward as I'd expected. I didn’t realize I’d need to purchase two 1/2”-14 NPSM supply hoses for the installation, but a quick trip to my local Home Depot solved that issue. I also needed a long 10MM socket wrench and extra pair of hands to get the spout straight…. I couldn’t be under the sink and above it at the same time. The ceramic disc valves are supposed to provide a “lifetime of durable performance,” and the handles come pre-assembled. It’s important to note that the top handle is attached to the handle bonnet so should the valve/cartridge ever need to be replaced, the bonnet gets unscrewed (lefty loosey) to reveal the valve. A few things I’m not crazy about, which aren’t deal breakers but worth pointing out, are the following: (1) The tips of the supply lines, tee connector, and the drain are plastic. Despite being plastic though, the tee and connectors snapped in easily and are leak free. While I think the spring loaded drain top is ingenious, I ultimately decided not to install it because I preferred the metal one that was already installed (also made by Kohler). (2) The installation instructions in the box were not specific to this model. The instructions had no parts list and the parts in the box did not match the illustrations. Kudos to Kohler for making it possible to download and print instructions for this exact model from their website. Had I followed the instructions in the box I would have used plumbers putty, which would eventually make it hard to replace the valve should that day come. The instructions for this specific model don’t mention plumber’s putty, which makes sense since there are rubber gaskets to prevent water from making its way under the handle base (it’s important to properly center the handles to ensure the gasket under the handle base is centered over the sink’s hole - this requires removing the handle bonnet so you can look underneath - see pic); and (3) The way the handle bonnet is designed, there is a small gap between the bonnet and our sink. I’ve noticed water wicking underneath although I know it can’t go anywhere once it’s under there. I'm not fond of the idea that water may be accumulating under there so I will occasionally remove the bonnets and clean it for peace of mind. Overall, we’re very happy with this faucet and how it looks.
