    Will this fit a 1950s American Standard shelf-back sink with 8 inches centerset.

The models we manufacture have a 5 1/2 inch center. I apologize we do not manufacture a 6 inch center spread for shelf back faucets.     Thank you for your inquiry. The center to center measurement is 5-1/2". There are 4 different handle styles available: K-8040-2A, K-8040-3A, K-8040-4A, and K-8040-5A.

    Returning product
    The small handle for operating the drain misaligned with the pivot fixture in such a manner that the threads at the end of the handle would not seat. Will return the unit at the first opportunity.

    Add lies
    It does not have adjustable centers as advertised. Centers are fixed at 5.5 inches, our sink has 6 inch centers.
