Worth the wait! Perfect height vessel!
So it took forever for me to receive this sink as it was back ordered through Kohler. I can assure you that it was totally worth the wait. I've personally always struggled with vessel sinks in general simply because they usually just look like a bowl sitting on a counter (yawn)... sometimes very pretty bowls mind you, but bowls none the less. Some are too shallow, some are too deep, some are too pricey, some are too cheap! HA! This one however is the Goldielocks of vessel sinks as it's JUST RIGHT! The porcelain looks rich and the feel is heavy and solid. I must note that this is not a typical vessel sink in that you do have to cut into your counter top so it is semi recessed and the effect is amazing! It comes with a template so be sure to measure again and again before cutting!
Because of it being recessed, you can actually reach into the sink more easily and, as an added bonus, you get to appreciate a better view of the beautiful faucet fixture that usually gets hidden by deeper bowls. I've had more positive comments on this sink than I ever expected and I love it. You will too!

Just the look!
Although the sink is described as “contemporary”, it has exactly the “farmhouse” look I was going for; VERY pleased with the price, style and flawless Kohler quality. Our original shipment arrived broken in a box that had no visible damage. A couple of pics uploaded to Home Depot later, a new shipment arrived in perfect condition (same packaging); very pleased with Home Depot Customer Service.
Refer to the Specifications Guide for detailed dimensions (under Product Overview on the Home Depot website). The cut-out template accompanying the sink made for very simple drop-in installation. We used a mid-arc, longer-reach faucet to finish the job.
I found it interesting that Kohler recommends certain cleaners to avoid scratching and dulling the surface of their vitreous china products. So, I’ve put away my standard and made a selection from Kohler's published list of preferred products: Clorox Disinfecting Bathroom Cleaner • Lysol® Bathroom Cleaner • Comet® Bathroom Cleaner • Soft Scrub Gel with Bleach • Fantastik Antibacterial Heavy Duty Cleaner • Soft Scrub Lemon Cleanser • Formula 409 Antibacterial All-Purpose Cleaner • Tilex Bathroom Cleaner • Green Works All-Purpose Cleaner.
