Product Overview

Small but mighty, the Kuda 2.6 HP Outboard Motor runs smoothly and smoke free, perfect off the back of small boats and other watercraft. The OHV single cylinder engine on the Kuda 2.6 Horsepower Outboard Motor runs at 5500 RPMs with a 72-cc engine displacement. The 17 in. shaft fits a boat with a transom height of 15 in. Features adjustable steering friction and forward/neutral gear shift with a 360° steering angle. The Kuda 2.6 HP Outboard Motor is ideal for small john boats and fits on any boat with a transom height of 15 in. 2 transom clamps secure the Outboard Motor to the center keel line of the boat. The 17 in. shaft holds a white propeller, which is easier to see in the water to check for tangles and debris. Splash lubrication with thermostatic/water control cooling keeps it all from overheating and running smoothly. 4 trim positions give you the perfect angle in the water and 80° of tilt keep your motor out of the water when not in use and to keep the propeller from hitting obstructions in the water and extending the life of the motor by reducing corrosion. An emergency engine stop lanyard is included, along with a tool kit that includes a screwdriver, spark plug wrench, a rope with a toggle handle and 3 extra spark plug gaskets. For additional technical specs and instruction see owner's manual for extended details.

Sometimes gas tank and lines get air. Purge tank by un screwing lil nipple that is located on top of gas cap. This always works for me when I have I have trouble restarting engine.

Is it big enough for a 12 foot aluminum fishing boat

Asked by john June 15, 2020

Answer

I'm using it on a 12' foot plastic jon boat. Pushes the boat with no issue, just don't expect a lot of speed. I fish canals and creeks attache to the intercoastal in florida so current is a big thig here and it pushed through that with ease. I think for 2.6 HP it gets the job done very well, just not super fast. Maybe 5 MPH give or take.

Will this "push" my 12 ft flat bottom jonboat quicker than my 55lb thrust trolling motor?

Asked by Jeremy June 14, 2020
1
Answer

I have a 12' plastic jon with a 35lb thrust trolling motor and I think it pushes a few MPH faster that that. Dont expect double the quickness or anything special in my opinion. For me, what it does is use a known quantity of fuel and gets me to my fishing spots without wasting battery power, and thats great. Had the battery start to fad before getting home and had to paddle before. That wont happen anymore as long as I have a small can of gas on board.

Are this motors shipped with the Gear Oil already in them ???

Asked by Michael June 14, 2020

Answer

No. Had to buy seperatly, used about a half a quart. A good long neck funnel will keep the job clean.

Yes. I am using it in brackish water off New Smyrna Beach, FL and will be using it in Mosquito Lagoon for Reds. I rinse it with the hose at the house after I'm done.

Hi, My name is Ivan, I have to write a review, to help all who are looking for an outboard engine, like I was, and have concerns about this “no brand” engine. I took this $900 dollar chance. Got it, filled the engine oil, gear case on prop with 90grade oil, primed external tank, put the kill strap on, turn gas’s on, and pull the rope, and the motor started right up, (4-6 pulls). Man, music to my ears.... it is a lot quieter than I expected. I will take it out to the Lake and run it for several hours to gently break it in, but as an Aviation license mechanic and FAA inspector, I looked at the engine closely, (externally) cowling off, and all of it shows that manufacturing is quality.

I took this motor out for two separate days. The first time I used it it seem to work fine. The second day it would not start if you’ve had flooded. Was unable to get it running again. I filled the tank up in it for some reason would be empty in the morning after draining out of it. I returned it back to the Home Depot. Stay away from this engine.
