Keeper Performance Engineered 8-1/2 in. x 1-1/4 in. T-Handle Ratchet Tie-Downs provide a safer, more efficient alternative to rope and other inferior cargo securing methods. Mid-sized ratchet tie-downs with 800 lbs. Working Load Limit and 2,400 lbs. Break Strength is perfect for securing loads with pickup trucks and utility trailers. For demanding conditions, ratchet tie-downs are ideal because they maximize tension. The design of T-handle ratchets puts safety and security first with a spring-loaded release that ensures the ratchet will never open accidentally. Vinyl-coated Double J-Hooks are rust resistant for increased life and Hi-Test webbing resists rot and abrasion. Keeper Ratchet Tie-Downs are an ideal solution for everyday mid-sized load security.

Answer This Question

A:  The straps are long enough for almost any conceivable load you’ll encounter, especially for your typical pickup load. You can take up the extra slack of the strap before you start to ratchet the load down. Make sure you secure the loose end of the ratchet strap so that it doesn’t blow out of the bed of your truck and either drag on the ground of get wrapped up in the back tires of your truck. As with all things think safety and check twice before driving off with your load.

A:  I had to span across the top of my van which is about 50” so it would do well at 34” spacing.

A:  Thank you for your interest in our Keeper 47380 Tie-Down Ratchet. It would be too long to connect two points using the J-hooks. The length of the fixed end is 33", not including the length of the ratchet. Including the length ratchet, length of the J-hook and ratcheted webbing, the length would exceed 34".       A:  Thank you for your interest in our Keeper 47380 Ratchet Tie-Down. It would be 33 inches from the fixed end of the ratchet to the hook when extended normally. Using the sewn D-ring would give the strap a maximum of 18 inches from the ratchet to the hook on the fixed end

Wished it would have come with instructions, since I had never used a ratchet strap before. Using it to hold down a portable basketball hoop base with ground anchors. Have been using for 3 weeks. The product itself met all my expectations (except for instructions).
