Decent enough set for the price. The lamp shades are a light shimmery silver fabric and appear well made. They are NOT the plastic kind with material glued on. They're all a little short for the size of the lamps. I'm short so I definitely notice, but this may not bother taller people. Speaking of height, the table lamps are tall enough for the living room. The floor lamp is pretty short. Just check the dimensions listed so you're not disappointed. The finish is a brushed silver. The cord is silver. The harps and sockets are gold. The lamp bases are of decent weight and the lamps are not easily knocked over. The base of the floor lamp is very heavy. Easy, no tools assembly. All parts fit together well. All lamps functioned upon arrival, cords appear new and intact. Not designed for 3 way bulbs. Packaging was atrocious with crumbly styrofoam taped together. I couldn't even fit it all in one garbage bag. Despite all that packing, one of the table lamps came with scratches in the finish. Still, for the price not a bad starter set. Not perfect or high end but attractive enough and serviceable.

I really like these lamps and they are in a small room so their footprint is small too so that is good. I like the shades because they have a bit of metallic look without looking odd. They were easy to assemble and made it through transit without issue. Even the light bulbs made it through safely. I would recommend the set especially for a first time residence or executive housing.
