A:  No, this is a hardwired unit that requires that 240v wiring. There is no plug.

We've used it now for a month as our primary cooking device. Everything from soup to nuts. boiled eggs; less than a minute to start the boil. Sweating onions perfectly. Browning or searing meat, excellent. Love it for all our cooking needs. We have two of them mounted end to end. Leaves room for a full length 42 by 11 inch cutting board across the front. Installed over a 42" sink base.
