120 Gal. Pool Storage Deck Box

Great product

This deck box is just the right size for my pool cover and my winter supplies and was very easy to assemble (I did it by myself) however it arrived damaged and I didn't discover the damages until I got to the last part (the cover)....I have tried to contact Keter by phone more times then I can count. Finally found a way to contact via email....hoping to be successful in getting a replacement part....I could really use another deck box but I am hesitant to reorder this product.....I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the damage and the difficulty in reaching someone at Keter to resolve issue.....

The box is everything I imagined it could be. The internal storage pouches are a clever idea that I hadn't considered in my decision. This box is great only because Keter has fantastic customer service. My local Home Depot did not have them in stock and would not order one to that store so I had to drive about 40 miles (past 2 others) to the next Home Depot that the computer said had two of them in stock. Unfortunately, a stock clerk in that store remembered selling the last one a few weeks earlier. I drove another 10 miles to the next Home Depot and indeed found two of them still strapped into their original boxes. Those boxes were pretty beat up but I chose the best looking one and returned home. Upon opening it I noticed that two of the main panels were cracked exactly in the middle by the package strapping. I returned that box to my local Home Depot. Days later, I purchased another box on-line at the next closest Home Depot (60 miles out). When I picked it up, we opened it at the counter to be sure it was complete and not cracked. The parts seemed to be acceptable and in their original packing. At home, it turned out that the two side panels were each cracked at the top near the hinge mounts. I called Keter customer service on Sunday and they immediately put two new panels in the mail. Although they took 2 weeks to arrive, the box assembly took less than an hour and the completed box is exactly as promised.

I've owned several storage chests for use around my pool; problem is they have not lasted, they deteriorate in the hot, baking, relentless, Arizona sun. Most have caved in on the top as plastic broke down, This chest has some serious structural integrity, especially on the top. It has adjoining (stainless steel) metal structure all around the inside of the top, which maks the top very firm, I can stand on the top and it does not move. And the locking mechainism althought simple is effective. The lower part of the structure simply snaps together with a little effort, I had the lower section together in less than 5 minutes. The upper section took a little longer as 10 screws are used to attach the piston hinges and locking hardware. The piston hinges keep the top open when opened and prevnet it from slaming closed. A really nice feature. The chest has a lot of room inside, it comes with 2 nets, one to be attached to the top, another can hang over either the right or left side of the chest. This is really nice so that frequently used pool toys can easily be found on the top. I hope to get many years of use from this chest, but only time will tell, but compared to others it seams to be better built.

Oh, okay I must admit I do not have a pool. And in the last two weeks we had about 16 inches of snow. But when I saw this 120-gallon Pool Storage Deck Box I knew it was exactly what I needed for my backyard detached deck. All the accessories for the grill, extra 20lb. tank, and table setting supplies, as well as the storage of chair pillows etc. This all fits inside securely this Keter’s 120-gallon chest. Very nice piston system of the lid making opening and closing of this lid a breeze too. The storage deck box looks great and is sturdy. I weigh 212 pounds and I can sit on it comfortably and it supports my weight without a problem. Inside the lid there is meshing that you can keep smaller items you reach for regularly. Great idea. It was not difficult to put together Although I Was forced to build this unit in my garage due to the weather. It comes with great directions just follow the steps outlined in the directions and your perfect poolside/Deck storage container can look great and last for years. I am delighted with mine and sure anyone would be once they see the quality. And it has a 5 year limited warranty on this item. I highly recommend this item. Two thumbs up. I received this on time and just finished the assembly today. First of all the makers of this unit need to do something about the way it is packaged. The flimsy box only had 1 piece of tape at each corner (see photo) to hold it together and 2 bands around the box without any foam packing inside. A staple or some glue would have work wonders. The carrier beat up the box and had re-taped some corners. Once inside I found small cracked and broken pieces but this pool box snaps together in so many places it did not affect the integrity of it. Once together (a rubber mallet worked wonders) it is a very sturdy pool box capable of holding a lot of stuff. I especially like the nets included to hold different items. All in all I am happy and feel lucky no parts were missing. I actually received the 120 gallon and the 135 gallon pool boxes made by the same company so some of the photos are comparing the 2. Each has it's own merits. the 120 gallon box is good for pool toys and the 135 gallon box is great for pool chemicals and other upkeep items. Both can lock for child proofing

The product was fine. The curbside service at HD was a disaster. 45 minutes sitting in the car. 4 calls to the store...store manager was no help. Done with Home Depot.
