Q:I can?t seem to adjust the humidity settings on this dehumidifier. Hitting the arrows gives me no indication that anything is changing. The appliance seems to keep my basement at 36-38% humidity, if that?s what the numbers on the display indicate.

Highly efficient machine
As a test, when I first received the KEYSTONE 35-pint Dehumidifier, I placed it in the living room. At a setting of 60% humidity, the bucket was 1/4 full after 24 hours. The next day I set it for the lowest number which is 35. After 24 hours the bucket was totally full and the machine shut off indicating it had gone down to 53% humidity. The highest setting is 80. There are two blower settings - normal and turbo. Both are relatively quiet and definitely quieter than the dehumidifier I replaced from 20 years ago.

Quiet and efficient!
I thought my husband was nuts when he said our house felt stuffy and muggy but as soon as we got this dehumidifier after a few hours I gave him the obligatory "You were right". The bucket was full and I couldn't believe it. Out of the box it's super easy to set up and use, and the water resovoir is easily accessed and removed from the front of the unit. Also, if you have a need for this to run continuously, like in a basement, it allows you go hook up a garden hose down into a drain so no need to empty the resovoir constantly. The best part is that it's pretty quiet and I can watch TV in the same room it's running and I don't need to crank up the volume.

Nice design, full feature Dehumidifier
The Keystone Dehumidifier is a compact unit designed to efficiently remove about 22 pints of moisture a day in an area up to 1500 sq feet, a typical bedroom size. The dehumidifier features a removable tank with a built-in water level indicator, or an option to convert to continuous discharge to a drain. The unit has a full bucket alert and an auto shutoff feature to prevent overflow. This unit has many useful features available from the top mount control panel with LED display. Power, fan speed normal or turbo, operating mode, and filter reset are push button operations. Filter reset is used to reset the reminder after 250 hours of use. Mode selects the overall operating mode, from automatic, where room humidity is controlled within a range of 45-55 percent, to continuous mode, where you can select humidity level from 35-85 percent, or set to continuous operations. A timer can also be set to engage an auto on and off cycle from ½ to 24 hour cycles. The unit is equipped with auto defrost, which prevents freeze up in typical basement or garage operations, although you should never operate the unit in temperatures less than 32 degrees. Settings revert to previous settings by auto-restart in case of a power outage. Castors make moving the unit east. Bucket tilts out and up to drain, and firmly locks in place. The fan may run while the unit is on, while the compressors cycles on and off automatically based on humidity levels. Normal fan setting provides a relatively quiet operation at an acceptable noise level. Unit is white plastic case and draws 3.7 Amps. Overall an economical and effective dehumidifier with many features.

A Good Dehumidifier
I got this Keystone about 3 weeks ago. I am very pleased with it and like the features. It has done a good job in reducing humidity in my home. I like the controls because they are simple and easy to follow. An extra nice feature is the air filter with an indicator light that shows when it needs cleaning. Cleaning is easy with a quick spray at the kitchen sink. This unit includes an LED display for the moisture percentage. You can select auto or constant operation. There are two speeds on the fan.

So far, so good!
I got this dehumidifier to be used in a partially finished basement in our new home. As with all basements, the dehumidifier is needed to keep the basement less "musky." So far, I have been very pleased with this product. I have been using it as designed, allowing the water to accumulate until it shuts off to prevent spillage, which I find helpful since sometimes I have not checked on it routinely. This has been a lifesaving back up. I plan to install it into a drain into a sink or a ground to avoid having to check it and empty it, as with any dehumidifier, this is the most cumbersome part, though I have found the emptying process to be easy and seamless. Overall, this has done great with the approximately 600 square foot finished basement and I am very happy with the product and price point.

Doing it's job.
I got this unit to put in our travel trailer during the non travel season. It will be used in the cold and this is rated for temperatures down to freezing. I have been using it in the house to see how it works. It does work good at removing moisture. It has a window for you to see the water level and that has a floating ball in it to give you a good visual of the level. There is a washable air intake screen. The one thing I didn't like about is was that the drawer, which is the water reservoir, is hard to get put back into position. I finally found that if I tip it some, instead of pushing it straight in, it does reinstall a little easier, but it has to be perfect.

Great Dehumidifier
I'm extremely happy with this unit. I have struggled with moisture buildup in my master bedroom and bath (app. 500 sq ft) for a long time. The Keystone 35 pint dehumidifier is doing a great job. This unit is rated to remove 35 pints of water from the air in a 24 hour period. The water tank has approximately a two gallon capacity and if full, will shut the unit off to prevent any overflow. It has a simple led control that gives you two fan speeds, on/off switch and a mode setting that switches between a humidity set point, timer or constant run. The display also notifies you of a full tank, dirty filter, and if the unit is defrosting. The unit comes with an adapter to bypass the tank and take the water directly to a different disposal location. The unit is fairly quiet, about as loud as a fan on high. The compressor generates a little heat when running. Which is perfect for me because my issues are primarily in the winter months. The only issue I have is the water tank is finicky to align when installing it back in the unit. But with all the pluses, I won't complain.

Quiet and efficient moisture extractor.
This unit extracts moisture so fast and efficient that I may need to use the attachment which also came with the unit to run a hose to a drain in the basement. This is a digital unit with a LED display which indicates everything easily on the top of the unit. Has a 24-hour timer and auto shutoff when the catcher is full of water. The catcher also has a handle to easily grab and travel to somewhere that it can be emptied of water when it is full. Very quiet when running and it is rather lightweight for this type unit and it even comes with roller that you can roll it around from area to area if you need to. This is very good for older folks such as I. The unit is white and rather good looking so will fit in any décor room. I need this more in my basement to rid the dampness and it is working perfectly for my needs. I am pleased, and am sure anyone purchasing this Keystone 22-Pint Dehumidifier with LED display will be too. I recommend it and I will be using it year round.

Works but sometimes loud
We use several dehumidifiers to manage humidity in the house. I like that this one is a little smaller, so it’s easier to carry and maneuver. Also it’s on wheels, and it rolls easily, so that’s nice.
When I turn it on, water starts collecting really fast, so it seems to work effectively and quickly.
However, I find the collection tray to be a little trickier to remove and replace. It gets a bit stuck, and then then I have to push harder than I do for the other units in the house. It works, it’s just not as smooth. The filter is easier to remove and replace.
It has an option to run continuously, but we are using it in a room without a drain, so we’re not using that feature.
A big issue is that it will run at a regular volume for a little while (I.e., regular noise for a dehumidifier), and then suddenly it’ll get a lot louder. The manual suggests a few reasons this could be happening. Im not sure which reason applies to our situation. Possibly our floor isn’t perfectly level, but I’m not sure. This is the first dehumidifier we’ve run in this room. If we turn the unit off and then back on, it goes back to a normal volume.
I’m giving it four stars because it seems to collect water really well, but the noise is annoying.

It is very quiet. The setting options are very nice. I would have given it a 5 if the inside of the tank didn't have so many tight spots and corners. If the inside of the tank gets dirty it will be nearly impossible to clean.
