Is the 2018 version of this fire extinguisher also good for 12 years?
Hello. Per UL standards, it is good for 10 years from the date of manufacturing on the bottom of the extinguisher.
Can I install in my car and use in case of a vehicle fire?
Hello. Yes, but the chemical used is designed to melt on hot surfaces which is how it smothers fires. It can corrode electronics and machinery such as a car engine. A BC class fire will not put out paper, wood, or trash fires but will put out electrical and liquid fuel fires and will be much less corrosive as it mainly uses baking soda and calcium carbonate. This is NOT true for an electric car battery fire. There is no fire extinguisher that will put out a large lithium-ion battery fire.
Where do you reguster for the 6 year warranty?
Hello. Keep a hold of the receipt. If there is ever an issue with the extinguisher, please call us with the extinguisher and receipt in hand and a picture of the receipt ready to email to us. We will honor the warranty based on the date of receipt.

Screw size for the included bracket?
What screws and anchors you use depends on what kind of surface you are mounting the extinguisher on. There are too many different types of surfaces and applications our extinguishers are installed on and we don't want to have provided the wrong screws and anchors for your application and have things go wrong and we don't want to provide every type of screws and anchors and have you choose the wrong ones among the ones we provided. Please consult with a carpenter or handyman or other professional before choosing the appropriate screws and anchors.
Are these rechargeable? If not how often do they need to be replaced
Hello. They are not rechargeable. They have to be replaced every 12 years per fire codes.
