Hello. Yes, exactly. This extinguisher is only designed to fit the Kidde 1A:10B:C extinguishers with 2.5 lbs of powder. Other extinguishers of other brands and even of Kidde extinguishers that are not this size might not be the same height and might not have the same distance between the two grooves on the neck of the extinguisher for the two flanges at the top of the bracket.

Fire Extinguisher Mount
Nice product I bought to retrofit to another extinguisher, the mount for which was broken. Had to make some "adjustments" with pliers to make it work the extinguisher I had but that was no problem. Did not use the stainless steel strap. I removed that and only used the hook to hold the existing extinguisher.

It mostly works. The clasp comes loose if bumped...
