Stylish and durable 3/4 in. x 5-1/2 in. White Ship Lap provides a modern clean look as well a country rustic design with the addition of the nickel gap. Boards are primed and ready to be painted. Ship Lap can be used inside for wall paneling and ceiling or outside for siding. Boards are made from Paulownia, which is lighter than Pine, making it easy to handle, but also the species is a hardwood that resists rot and termites. The product is excellent, but this was not what I expected. The product photo shows one (1) piece of lumber, segmented into 3 panels similar to a large piece of wainscoting. The panel size that is given is 5-1/2 in x 8-ft, so I expected one (1) piece of lumber segment into 3 panels as shown in the photo. Duh, guess not. If the photo showed a single piece of T&G lumber with a "Nickel Gap," I would have known what I was buying.

My contractor didn’t love this shiplap. He said it was...
My contractor didn’t love this shiplap. He said it was inconsistent and a bit of a pain to work with. Some boards snapped together fine others not so much. I haven’t seen it up close yet but the pictures are fine. I see the variation but it looks authentic for our old house so I am happy with it.

Boards are chewed up in a lot of places so...
Boards are chewed up in a lot of places so we had to pick and choose where to make cuts and ended up having to use a lot extra. Became a much more expensive project than planned.
