Machine is loud, produces a lot of heat and doesn't come with water filters or "remote drain pump". Buying all of them separately to have it working just added another $500 to the total price. Will keep an eye on my electricity bill after my first month having this machine running.

Good ice maker just remember to order the pump which is sold separately if you don't want to install plumbing for a separate drain.

I.have had this ice maker repair man out to my home 2 times. Both times nothing was solved supposably the loud noises we hear are normal. The ice dripping into ice bin...normal. the reason ice wasn't producing into a full peace of ice bc filter wasn't allowing water to pass though correctly...remove filter. Heat coming from ice maker....bc cabinet people didn't make measurements right....got measurments from Kitchen aid. So they are right...was proven to them. So I also got a lemon and I'm stuck with it bc kitchen aid doesn't stand behind their product. They just want to keep sending repair man out. The heat no longer exist. Put I have not gotten another filter to put in there yet. I don't know about other models but I would not buy this one. The money for this ice maker is far to much to spend on a product that makes so much noise that it's embarrassing.
