It's Hot!

Scratched
Just installed this. Ventless isn't installed as I was told the wrong part.
That aside, cooked on it one time and the burner I used is scratched pretty significantly. For the cost that shouldn't happen. Our old cook top was at least 10 years old and had zero scratches.

Five burner a must!

I love this Cooktop!

Downdraft color peeling
We have this unit for more than a year, so the warranty expired. Unfortunately the downdraft cover color is peeling off. I complained to customer service and they responded that there is nothing they can do after one year. They suggested to buy a new cover for 125$ plus shipping.
Customer service admits that sometimes there may be a failure in production, but there is nothing they can do now. I had my older unit for more than 20 years and the color never came off. Don't expect a high quality just because the price is high.

Great features and sleek look!

Good cooktop with reasonable venting
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a replacement for an older downdraft unit. The new cooktop does everything it should. Burners heat quickly and evenly, installation was straightforward and vented into the existing ductwork without any problems. I'm not a huge fan of smooth top stoves because they are more work to keep clean, but so far it hasn't been a big issue. The vent works OK but not as well as an overhead vent. Noise level is not too bad, but there's virtually no difference between low and high fan speed on either noise or vent action. It does suck fumes out. We haven't tried the dual burner feature yet. The low simmer works well.
My only gripe is not with the stove, but with the big box home supply store that set up the installation. The installers showed up, saw it was a downdraft and said "we don't install those". The cooktop sat in my garage for two months until I got an electrician to come do the wiring. I did the rest of the install myself rather than deal with appliance installers. Like I said, it's not a difficult install, but I had to go from aluminum to copper wire and wanted that done correctly. Just make sure you get installers who want to do the work and the store that sells the appliance is aware of what their contractors will or won't do.

Cooktop scuffed up after 2 weeks
We lightly used cooktop for two weeks now and it is scuffed up already. Very disappointed in the quality of the cooktop glass. See pictures.
Unless you have to have downdraft I would look for a better glass cooktop.
