Disappointed
We are very disappointed in this oven. This is our first new range in years, and the first I would consider to be higher end. After just a few months of use, the finish on the control knobs is peeling off as is the finish on the grill. Additionally, not only does the AquaLift technology not work and does not get most of the inevitable stains off the interior of the oven (despite following the instructions closely and using all the cleaning tips), it is actually a detriment because you can't use traditional oven cleaners because they will damage the AquaLift finish.

Burners look awful after one time use
We got our new gas stove and it looks great, however after one time use the burner got discoloured. These spots look awful and can’t be cleaned. It looks like the paint gets affected by the heat? The discolouration is both on outside and inside of burner. It looks like we have an old uncleaned stove in our brand new kitchen! We see alike spots appear on all other burners as well... Is this discolouration normal? Very disappointed about the quality of these burners.

Sub level quality
We bought the range in 2017 and noticed the surface on top of the door is now peeling off. We contacted Kitchen Aid to be told it's not covered. We believe it's a manufacture defect and it should be taken care. The range is also extremely difficult to clean. Cleaning is worse than a non self cleaning oven. We have a previous Kitchen Aid gas range for 14 years & never had a problem, & the way the cleaning system worked was much better than the AquaLift system Kitchen Aid now uses.

Surface is peeling off
We bought the range in 2018 and noticed in 2020 the surface on top of the door was peeling off. We contacted Kitchen Aid to be told it's not covered. We believe it's a manufacture defect and it should be taken care. The range is not easy to clean, we tried different suggested products and it leaves marks.

Utter disappointment
Just had my gas stove for a little over a year. Looks very similar to this model. I did not expect the top coat layer on the top part of the oven door to peel... Same issue for the markings - I never scrubbed them and always clean the stainlessteel gently, yet they are peeling off..My sister has similar issues with her Kitchen Aid stove. I understand warranty does not cover peeling. What should I do now? Thanks

Love it but...
I’ve had this oven for just under a year and I love it. It’s easy to use and temperatures are very steady. Unfortunately, the back oven venting is letting out heat when oven is one and it’s discoloured the back tile. I’m not sure why this happens. I would think the heat should be vented away from the back wall...?

Poor cleaning ability
We built a house and bought a suite of Kitchenaid appliances from a local appliance dealer who is well known and respected. I have two major problems with this unit. The aqua-lift feature is a joke. It does not save electric because by Kitchenaid's own manuel, you need to do multiple cycles to get it clean AND you must scrub the oven to a large extent with only water and a non-abrasive scrubbie. It's like scratching an itch with a feather. I clean my oven monthly and cook in it 1-3 times a week. It looks terrible after 4 years. Second, we use propane and that kicks down the btu's significantly. Check the spec's on that. It takes 20 minutes to boil a pot of water for a 1lb of spaghetti. I can never get a beef stew made in a cast iron pot to maintain a boil w/o the lid being on. Move on to another brand and don't be fooled into purchasing a range with a steam-clean feature.

Stem clean does not get oven clean
I have two huge problems with this range. First, the steam clean feature is a total joke. I am meticulous with my ovens (I've owned nothing but Kenmore Elite until now). I clean them monthly. My ovens have always looked like new and we were able to sell them second-hand at 10 yr. old because they looked so good. That is until this unit. Kitchenaid, by their own instructions, tell you to scrub big particles of food off the oven before cleaning it. Then it tells you that you may need more than one cycle to clean it. I have had to run 3 or 4 cycles and it has removed MAYBE 10% of the dirt. I then must scrub, what little I can scrub, the rest off, which will not come off. How much electric am I paying for running that many cycles in addition to the sponges & scrubbies I go through cleaning the racks by hand and scrubbing the "supposed loosened" dirt that's left over. And you can't use anything but water and a non-abrasive sponge to remove that. That's like scratching an itch with a feather! So, they've reinvented what the term "self-clean" really means. Second, because we run propane the btu's are dropped significantly. Check the spec's on that one. It takes 20 minutes to boil a pot of water to cook 1lb. of spaghetti. I've had this oven for 4 years now and curse it everytime I "attempt" to clean it.
