This is a nice grinder. It's the manual "push down" type but it does a nice job. 10-15 seconds and its done. The only knock is the grinds which get caught under the blade. Can't deduct a star for that though. Love the deep and removable canister, makes grinding and cleanup much easier. Good purchase.

Contrary to other reviews I have seen on other sites for this product, it actually performs quite well. The ground is good and there are no stuck beans at the bottom due to blade design. And, you don't have to tip the entire device to get the coffee out, due to the removable grind cup. Overall, it's a nice quality product with a good look and feel.

I find the ground coffee compacts on the bottom of the grinder under the blade every time I grind coffee beans. This is my only complaint.

This grinder was purchased to replace a burr grinder that quit working after about 18 months. It is quiet and produces an consistent grind that is perfect for drip, perk, or french press. It is well made, well designed, and looks good on the counter. No more howling burr grinders for me. (Note: The grind is not fine enough for expresso.)

I purchased this grinder as a designated spice grinder but problems exist whether using it for coffee or spices. The grinder contacts in the cap don't connect well and require a LOT of coaxing so that the unit actually turns on. Also, while grinding anything it throws the powder(s) up and over the metal insert so there's powder all over the inside and outside of the unit. It doesn't matter how much you put into it to begin with, either. There's a huge loss of spice powder because of this. I've resorted to putting plastic film over the stainless steel insert and securing it with a thin rubber band before I grind. The biggest challenge is with grinding dried peppers as the end powder product is very fine and becomes airborne easily. On the plus side, the cup being removable for cleaning is a really nice, and it's nice and big, but again, the powder going all over inside defeats the easy cleaning all together. Perhaps a tighter fitting cap or a silicone groove that sets over the cup lip would help contain the airborne powder.
