I received the Klein 5 gallon Premium Synthetic Polymer Wire and Cable Pulling Lubricant for review in the mail. I really like this product, It has made pulling long runs of wire through conduit a breeze. I like that this products dries to a thin film and won't clog the conduit for future wire pulls. I like the wide range of temperatures that this product can be used in 20 deg. F to 120 deg. F. Overall this product saves me time and money when wiring a building.

I've been doing wiring projects for many many years and wire pulling lubricant is super important.
1. You don't want it to be messy.
2. You want it to cling and provide lubrication.
3. You want the wires to slide smoothly inside the conduit.
4. You want it to be safe for the insulation. It's going to be in there for years and it can't break down the plastic or you'll have a bad short.
5. Staining products are a no-no.
6. You don't want the lubricant to dry up over time and make it hard to remove the wire.
This synthetic lubricant helps in all six areas listed above.
Many times, I passed on using lubricant, because of the time and mess. It made pulling wire harder, but more importantly risking damage to the jacket. I like that this lubricant is easier to use and doesn't leave a mess. I also like that it won't dry out and harden over time, so no stuck wires. No staining or damage to the insulation.
For those of us who pull wire/cable, this is a great product. I'm very pleased at how it works and the benefits from using it.

This seems to be as good as the premium products sold at my regular electrical supply house. Nice and slippery, and easy to clean off the wires after the pull has been completed. I'm very happy with it, and when it runs out, I'll buy more.
Putting a bit of this on the wire helps a lot in getting it through tight spaces and around corners. I've used this both in conduit and within other spaces where I needed to pull wires, and it works well in both instances.
It also washes out of clothes, so it doesn't ruin them.

I had the opportunity to evaluate this pulling lubricant. I have used several brands and types of this lubricant to pull gangs and wires through both plastic and metal conduit. The rule with this is if your fishwire goes through you will have NO hangups with this material. The trial with this was 4 gang #6 wire for a 60 amp sub box to a shed over a 120 foot run. There were many 45 degree and 90 degree turns due to the residence not having a lot of direct shots to the new panel. I jammed a couple handfuls down the entry, had my assistant guide the wires in the pipe and I was happy to easily make all the turns as if they were not there. It does NOT degrade plastic conduits.
