Would I recommend a "KLEIN TOOL", always. Klein's tools, and specifically this Rebar Hickey are top of the line tools. Great material, quality control in place. I have never had a Klein tool that show a hiccup, or oversight. I will use this for a very atypical application. Namely straightening out vintage Harley Davidson 1" handlebars. With just a little jaw massaging [namely opening up the jaws just a taste, this hickey has enough substance to exert the correct amount of force to do the the intended job. Made in America with a eye to quality. Klein cost more and rightly so, skip the rest, save money in the long run [immediate results] and buy Klein. In closing, well packed for shipping, sloppy shipping UPS, boxes always abused. Even the surface paint is of high quality..

Good God is this thing stout. I love Klein tools but mostly have smaller stuff, so I knew it would be high-quality but was surprised and just how strong and sturdy it is. I don't usually do much concrete work myself, but finished doing footing for a spiral staircase and deck that required #5 (5/8") and #4 (1/2") bar and this hickey bent both easily. I have no doubt that it would also bend #6 bar (3/4") also. Very heavily built, nice looking welds, great coat of paint, and simple to use. Best of all, made in the USA, a big plus in my book!

While I’m not a professional or an every day form setter, I did have a need to create a rebar set-up to build a low water crossing in a seasonal creek in a low field. I built the forms with 1/2 rebar. This rebar Hickey worked great for my needs. Forming bends in the 1/2 rebar was easier than I thought, even on short pieces. They may work on larger diameters of rebar, but at my age it may have taken more effort that I’m capable of. I had looked into heavier duty benders, but for the DIY, they were cost prohibitive. These worked perfect for me. I can see how this would fulfill the needs of the weekend warriors, but I also think it would help the professional who needs a quick or short job. Very heavy duty in my view.

This arrives just in time to go from the mailbox, to the driveway re-han project. It's solid feel let's you know you have your hands on a real tool, and it's tough-as-nails construction will outwork you anyday. Rated for be ding #6 bar, it handled pairs with ease, wrenched out a couple of stubborn roots, and even served as a makeshift hammer once or twice along the way. I look forward to many years of service from this bar. .

Great new Rebar Hickey that is well built, and well designed for long term usage.  I knew right away that this was a very well built rebar bender, and I feel that it is also well balanced, and durable all at the same time. I have a few projects in mind and this will definitely fit the bill for all #6 rebar needs.  The handle is extra long, but that is also a great feature, as it gives you better traction to do the job right the first time. Very pleased with the new hickey, and expect a long life for this very product. Weighs only 8 pounds, which makes it very convenient even for someone like myself. 

This unit has a stout handle. It bent a piece of square rebar that I found in a "soft" 90 degree curve. I have not tried it on three quarter inch rebar, but it did well on the half inch rebar that I tried it on. Trying to evaluate this tool is a bit like evaluating a hammer. It is simple in design, simple to use and gets the job done. It is stout enough to do a lot of work.

Yet again Klein tools comes out with a superior 100% made in AMERICA tool. Weighing in at 8lbs with a 65 degree bending head and a forty inch (40") handle this heavy duty tool is made for those tough projects. Easily will bend up to a three quarter (3/4") inch diameter or number six rebar with ease. If you work in the trades you need this tool in your collection. All in all another well made tool from Klein tools.
