Who knew that Klein Tools Inc. has a cutlery manufacturing affiliation?!? FYI: Klein Cutlery LLC, formally known as Heritage Cutlery, has grown and become the largest U.S. manufacturer of hot-forged scissors and shears for a wide variety of markets.
This fine cutting instrument has quickly become my favorite and never leaves my sight when out and not in use. The 8-inch, bent-bow handle trimming scissor glides so smoothly along a flat surface to produce a clean, uniform cut on textiles, wallpaper, plastic films, and for me, when cutting fiberglass screening, sheet gasket material and even thin metal shim stock. The large coated handles are a comfortable fit for my hand and fingers while the sharp cutting edges do all the work under my complete control. It is also the best tool for me to use when opening theft-prevention plastic packaging.

The Heritage Cutlery Model 208LR-BLU-P 8” Bent Trimmer (Made in USA by Klein Cutlery America) is solid, sharp and sturdy. The two loops are coated in a thin blue plastic/rubber compound that provides only slight cushioning. The large loop comfortably holds 4 medium-sized fingers while the large thumb loop leaves lots of extra room. The blade action is a bit stiff so far, but that makes for a sharper cut, and these scissors cut very nicely. I had no trouble cutting paper, thin cardboard, “clamshell” packaging, or an old plush towel (see photo), but I had difficulty cutting thick cardboard and the hard metal loops are uncomfortable after extended use. Klein Cutlery offers a warranty against manufacturing defects for the normal life of the product. It also offers a sharpening service. Given the quality of these shears it's worth having a professional sharpen them.

When a co-worker says: "I want those!", you know it must be good.
We were recently putting down some 3.8mm (about 5/32") thick vinyl plank flooring in a bathroom and found we had to make a circular cut around the toilet flange. My co-worker was going to reach for the knife to make that awkward round cut, but I told him to hold on and try these. He was skeptical it could cut through. But not for long, he cut through like butter and was begging me to let him borrow them for the rest of the job.
That pretty much says it all. I wouldn't try cutting metal, keep the tin snips for that. For cloth, soft plastic, cardboard and even paper these are perfect and easier to use than awkward snips. These are now a staple of my tool bag.
These are Made in USA and are of high quality. Klein owns this brand now, but they seem to have let Heritage continue to make fine cutlery. No shortcuts here.

This is a pair of heavy duty 8" Bent Trimmers (scissors) with a cutting length of 3 1/2 " The Trimmers (scissors) are made in the USA by Heritage Handcrafted Cutlery and are designed to cut heavy textiles, cardboard, wallpaper, plastic, and rubber. They are fashioned from hot forged steel and have a plastic coating on the large open handles that makes using them more comfortable, especially for larger hands and cutting of heavier stock. These are sturdy high quality scissors that should last a lifetime and the blades are heavy enough to be resharpened if/when needed. The Bent Trimmers were priced at $32.38 in October of 2019 and are fairly priced for a quality American Made product that will last for years and give good and dependable service. We are impressed with the design and quality and would recommend this model # 208LR-BLU-P 8" Bent Trimmer with large blue handles.

These are some excellent scissors--They come very sharp out of the box, and hold their edge through a good bit of use. The two pieces fit together very nicely with no slippage at all. The handles bits are dipped in hard rubber and are quite comfortable. Most importantly, these can cut through pretty much everything I throw at them, from cardboard and paper to zip ties to those horrid plastic shrink packs that tools always come in these days.

The bent trimmer works great and is easy on the wrist if a lot of cutting is being done. The coated handles make it comfortable to use over extended periods of time. I cut some rubber sheeting and was impressed with the clean cut these trimmers made. I also tried them on wooden shims my wife need for a craft project and found they cut through the wood easily. They also worked great on corrugated cardboard and heavy card & poster stock.

This eight inch bent handle scissors is perfect for cutting on a flat surface (see picture) due to its design. It will cut a wide variety of material, such as cardboard, heavy fabric, plastic, rubber, wrapping paper (see picture) and even thick flocked wallpaper. Its cutting blade (see picture) is about 3.5 inches in length so it gives a nice, long cut in one motion. The handle (see picture) has a nice plastic coating for a good grip. I highly recommend this scissors for use around the home or shop. It works very well!

I really liked the Klein Tools 8" Bent Trimmer with Large Ring. I have arthritis in my right hand so I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it cut through cardboard, soft/hard plastic, and doubled cotton towel. It cut through all the items like a hot knife cutting butter. However, when I tried to double the cloth again it took some effort to cut the material. But, I think someone stronger wouldn't have a problem. The plastic I cut through was much thicker than package plastics. So, these scissors will be great for cutting open plastic packages. The scissors are a little bit heavier than the scissors we use currently. But, no so heavy we can't use them easily. They are comfortable in the hand. We use scissors a lot around here and Klein Tools sells scissors for many of our jobs, even hair cutting. I plan on saving this to my favs on the HD Online page for future purchases.

I had a pair of yellow Klein scissors that look exactly like this bye pair and they were amazing! I work with parachutes daily and have to cut spectra as other materials that are tough. Unfortunately after two days cutting spectra these scissors could not cut the spectra anymore and it wore out my hand trying to keep cutting. Not certain if these are made differently. But I still love Klein scissors so I’ll buy a yello pair since they’re still available it’s just the blue looked nice too. These blue scissors are great but not for heavy duty materials
