1 1/2” bit
This is a nice heavy duty knockout bit for making holes in wood to run conduit or if you have other things that size too it will work good. It’s nice that it makes fast smooth cuts so you can get the job done sooner. The making on it are nice too because they are stamped in so they don’t just rub off after make a few holes and then have to measure your bit to figure what size it is.

Klein is a go-to name for electrical applications. Have been using 7/8" knock-out sets for 1/2" fittings of electrical sizing for several decades now. This Klein 7/8" KNOCKOUT DIE or as I was taught it is the "cup" to the cutter for 1/2" when talking electrical fittings. This knockout die works just fine and is interchangeable with my other sets configuration. When you need a hole it needs to be the correct size or the quality of the install will be diminished. I often need a 1/2" electrical knockout to penetrate junction boxes appropriately. In this case I am using a single gang wall plate made of stainless to access a double barrel mc (metallic conduit) connector. I started it with a 7/8" hole saw and it started to mar the surface so I finished it with my knock out and it is a nice fit. Many people choose the hole saw to save steps due to a hole must be placed for the threaded draw stud prior to punching out a precise hole by the punch.

The knockout die is very useful to make holes in steel, aluminum, fiberglass and plastic. The Klein Tools 53820 7/8 in. Knockout Die is for 1/2 in. EMT conduit. The design reduces wrench effort. Slugs are split inside for easy removal. It has a maximum capacity of 10 gauge of mild steel material. It punches pretty clean and accurate holes. The die has a black oxide finish. The die weighs 1.6 ounces.
