You just can't match the quality of Klien tools. These pliers have a fish tape pulling feature built into the pliers. This allows you to get a firm grip on your steel fish tape without damaging the steel tape.
The pliers are also capable of cutting steel, such as small screws, bolts, and nails. You can also cut through ASCR cable as well.
These pliers are made to last many years.

Very nice set of Lineman pliers. Heavy duty construction precision milled surfaces. These are high leverage side cutters. It make cutting through those wires a snap. These are not the cheapest cutters. Cheaper ones can be found elsewhere. Let’s face it though. How often do you buy a set of these? It is well worth spending a couple extra bucks to have a quality Klein product.

This review is for the Klein side cutting pliers, model D2000-9NETP, which I got a chance to check out. It’s important to make sure that the reviews you’re looking at match the model that you may be considering buying, because Klein makes a variety of pliers and not all offer the same features.
I’m a semi-retired computer tech, and still do occasional jobs that require pulling cable – which is why I was interested in this particular model of Klein side cutters. They offer a built in “fish tape channel” for pulling stubborn cable without damaging the tape.
Let’s get the specs out of the way -
Jaw length: 1-19/32''; Jaw width: 1-1/4''; Jaw thickness: 1-19/32''; Overall length: 9-3/8''; Weight: 1.1 pounds (See photos attached).
The handles are plastic-dipped (blue in color, if that matters) but are NOT rated for working with live wires. They are comfortable to work with, even without gloves.
The pliers have a high pivot point, which give better leverage than some other side cutters. Klein claims 46% increase in leverage and I’m willing to believe them after using the pliers a bit.
The knives are very sharp, seem to hold an edge well, and go through a 15-gauge extension cord like it wasn’t even there (I had an old cord laying around and tried it just to see). Klein claims that the pliers have no problems cutting off nails, screws, etc., that you might run into on the job – I’ve not had occasion to test that claim but I don’t doubt it.
Now, back to the reason I wanted these pliers – pulling cable. The fish tape channel actually works as advertised! The pliers offer a really good grip and, once the tape is placed in the channel and the pliers closed, I can put all of my weight into pulling the tape without kinking or cutting or damaging the tape. Really nice. The pliers are not difficult to work with, nor are they so stiff new out of the packaging that they require a long break-in period.
Klein rates the pliers for pulling either 1/8'' or 1/4'' flat steel fish tape. I hate to pull cable and at my advanced age I try to leave that chore to the younger crowd. Sometimes, however, I get stuck and have to do a run myself – and I like anything that makes that chore easier.
I have a number of side-cutters scattered around (I admit to being basically lazy, so I have multiple copies of tools so that I don’t have to walk from the garage to the basement to get one (or vice-versa); I also keep a packed “network installation” toolbox and then there’s the always-present tool kit in my 4x4). This new Klein is, however, the best one in my collection for pulling fish tape easily without damaging the tape. These Klein side cutters have found a home with me.
The pliers are made in the U.S., offer a limited lifetime warranty, and come with the standard Home Depot 90-day return guarantee.

Jim

Quality pair of pliers - unless you lose them they'll likely be the last set you ever buy, and will pass them down to your kids. The hinge is very smooth, and can easily be opened and closed with one hand. The jaws open about 1.5" wide, and have plenty of cutting power, as well as great grip. I was able to easily cut through 3 wires at once with ease (14g). They are a bit pricey, however they should last a lifetime, and then some.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using these linesman pliers since August of 2020. They are by far the most useful hand tool I own! They will cut through anything, they’re strong enough to handle everything I’ve put them through, and the grips are extremely comfortable (much more than my old Milwaukee Linesman’s). The build quality is amazing too. The grips show no sign of wear, and the body has handled the elements impressively and has only developed a slight patina even when they were rained on. The cutters on them are still sharp enough to cut a piece of string. Truly an excellent tool.

Best pliers I’ve found
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had these pliers for almost 5 years now the texture on the jaws has held up well but is worn down some now but most importantly the cutting edges have held up amazingly well and are still sharp and cut almost as well as they did brand new. The extra money for the 2000 series is well worth it.

These pliers by "Klein Tools" are super easy to cut and pull with. So far they are better than any other pliers I've owned and used. They are made with 2 layers of insulation that provides protection against any electrical shock to you while providing 46% more cutting power. This makes the job easier. Also the pliers are very durable and I'm now using them every day to cut screws, nails, and most hardened wire. I anticipate using these pliers for a very long time. Thank you to Klein Tools for this great tool!
