I really appreciate the quality of Klein tools. This kit is in addition to the other sets I have purchased over the years. The precision of the drivers and wire strippers are so advanced compared to the cheap versions that other retailers sell. Home Depot is my source for purchasing Klein tools and I have now started a collection for my sons as well. They should last your family for years.

Klein Tools Brand, 6-Piece Apprentice Tool Set is an outstanding collection of the most useful hand tools a journeymen electrician would carry to pretty much everything a do-it-yourself home owner might ever need for residential electrical work. I already own several Klein Phillip’s screwdrivers and their tips provide the most positive bite of any Phillip’s tip I have ever used. The cabinet tip screwdriver in this set is sized specifically for receptacle, switch, and cover plate retaining screws that have smaller heads and often narrow slots that standard screwdrivers may not fit well by slipping off the screw head. The wire stripper is very accurate, easily stripping the wire insulation without cutting into or nicking the conductor. The diagonal cutting pliers cut Romex cleanly and effortlessly. And the heavy-duty long nose pliers work well for making a loop on wire ends for installing under receptacle and switch screws. The quality, fit, and finish of this tool set is simply outstanding. And purchasing this set will cost just about half what purchasing each tool separately would cost in total. This new set of Klein Tools electrician’s hand tools will allow me to retire some of the old tools I’ll never use again now owning these quality Klein replacements.

Whether you are a brand new apprentice, a seasoned contractor, or even just a regular Joe pretty much everybody can use a good set of Klein tools and this 6-piece Apprentice set is both a good start or a quality replacement set for any adult. From left to right in the package is a 3/16 flathead screwdriver and a #2 phillips screwdriver, both with the classic Klein cushion grips that you can hold tight. Next is the set of wire strippers that strip 12-20 AWG stranded and 10-18 solid AWG wire and will shear 6-32 and 8-32 screws. Nice handles on these wire strippers. The remaining three are lineman pliers, needlenose pliers, and diagonal cuttersl, all with coated and color specific handles for easy identification and use. Pretty much any electrical work and other construction, mechanic, automotive, home repairs, and hobby work can be done with this set. Klein makes quality hand tools that have been the benchmark for over 150 years, quality made right here in America. Highly recommended, easy to sue right out of the package and not a single negative about them.

Klein tools are the best! Simply stated you will not find better tools on the market. When you buy Klein tools you’re buying them for life and they will be handed down to the next generation. With every acquisition I get of a Klein tool I am more and more impressed with the company, their manufacturing process, and especially the overall quality of the tools. This electrician‘s apprentice set has everything you need for a DIY, or a professional electrician. Each tool is meticulously crafted to perform its task exceptionally well. Wow! Klein has put together a perfectly designed and well-made set of tools that is ideal for wiring and other projects. A heavy canvass, 18 pocket tool pouch keeps things organized and handy while you complete your project. The pouch and the belt are made to take the demands of the jobsite. Everything in this kit with the exception of the tape measure is Made in the USA. Each of the tools has a protective coating on the handle adding both comfort and a degree of safety. The coating enables a tight but comfortable working grip. Everything is professional quality. You can feel it. The action of the pliers is smooth and positive. The diagonal cutting pliers are a good size for cutting commonly used wires and do so easily. The side cuts are sharp and no nonsense. There are no gaps where the ends make contact. The 4 screwdrivers provide a collection of commonly used tips, not just phillips and slot. The top of each handle is well labelled so you can identify and grab the one you need out of the pouch. The locking tape measure has tight action and a double, magnetic hook. The lock is a simple switch like mechanism that is really easy and quick to engage. The tape also has a hold on the bottom of the housing that enables you to temporarily lock the tape in place while depressed, a really nice and handy feature. The tape reads in SAE and Metric. Both scales are unusually easy to read and don’t interfere with each other. I had the tape extended over 9’ without support before it gave and buckled. The spring loaded strippers do not have a locking mechanism which makes them always ready. The Strippers are really nice and Stripping 10 – 18 gauge single wire is effortless. You just can’t beat top quality tools and that’s what you get when they’re made by Klein.

Great set of Klein tools, well made, I have some Klein tools from 30 years ago and still are holding up . Klein Tools is an American company based in Lincolnshire, Illinois that manufactures hand tools. The company is known for its popularity with workers in the electrical and telecommunications industries. Lineman's pliers are often called "Kleins," an example of it's trademark. Made in the USA. I can't say enough of this brand of tools, A must tool for the pro or the DIYer. I highly suggest these tools and the price is reasonable because you will get decades of use out of this tools. The only problem that I noticed was there is no latch on the wire strippers/cutters to "lock" the handles closed while not in use, but a minor problem anyone can live with. The tool belt is a plus with many pockets to hold many tools.

I am a huge fan of klein tools. I have several of their products. This latest one I got is a 12 piece tool kit. It comes with 2 screw drivers a flat head and a phillips. 2 square head drivers a #1 and a #2. A pair of wire strippers. 8 inch needle nose pliers,wire cutters, nine inch linesman pliers, a pair of channel locks a 25 foot tape measure with metric and standard with a magnetic tip, Also has a tool bag and a 52 inch belt. A fantastic set of tools. I highly recommend them.

I'm a semi-retired I.T. tech, not an electrician, but occasionally I get roped into data cabling jobs, mounting security monitors, phone wall mounts, etc. I got a chance to check out the Klein 92003 tool kit, which offers tools that perform those types of duties. A quick listing of what you get: Side-cutting pliers 8 inch diagonal-cutting pliers 8 inch long-nose pliers 10 inch water pump pliers Wire stripper/cutter 25 foot tape measure (this is a really nice tape measure) 4 inch #2 Phillips screwdriver 4 inch #2 flat blade screwdriver 4 inch #1 square-recess tip screwdriver 4 inch #2 square-recess tip screwdriver 18 Pocket Tool Pouch Powerline™ web work belt (not padded but comfortable to wear and plenty strong enough) The fit, finish, and quality of the hand tools is excellent; Klein has a reputation for making good tools, and these don't disappoint. The tape measure is especially nice - there's a "speed control" button on the bottom of the housing that allows you to slow down the tape retrieval. Also the tape will take up to a 9 foot standout (that's how much tape you can feed out into open space before the weight of the tape causes the end to fall to the ground). I've tried several times and consistently was able to get a 9 foot feed; however it was a bit touchy and too much movement invariably cause the tape to fall. An 8 foot feet is much more reliable (YMMV). The water pump pliers came pretty much covered in oil - I had to wipe them down before putting them into the pouch. The screwdrivers are a comfortable fit in the hand, and the sizes marked on the end so that you can grab the right one out of the pouch without hunting. Note that all of the tools have ‘comfort grips’ – but are NOT protection against electric current. Speaking of the pouch, it's not dedicated to this set of tools; it's a generic pouch that allows for adding more screwdrivers, etc. (see photo). The work belt has a solid buckle on it, and secures/releases well. What I’d like to see in an upgraded version would be eyelets for tool belt suspenders – takes the weight off of the waist and puts it on the shoulders. Not that this kit is heavy, but adding a few extra tools and pouches can increase the weight quickly. I had trouble keeping the tape measure attached to the belt - the belt material is slick and the tape always found a way to fall off of the belt. Of course the tape measure fits into the pouch, but then that room could be used by other tools if the tape went securely onto the belt. I resolved that issue by adding a Klein Tape Measure Pouch, model 5712 to the belt. Note that this pouch is not included with the kit, it was an add-on. The tape pouch fits very well on the work belt and the tape fits security into the pouch, freeing up room in the original pouch. Problem solved. YMMV. I also added a 9" torpedo level and a pocket knife, along with a roll of electrician's tape (there's a tape chain included on the pouch). I need to get a hammer holder - there's none included with this kit - because I find a small 8 oz. claw hammer to be handy. One can be stuffed into the pouch with the rest of the included kit, but a separate holder on the belt is always a plus. YMMV. This is a very nice tool/pouch set from Klein and the tools included are a good start towards having a customized kit that works the way you work. Klein offers their standard "guaranteed for the life of the tool" warranty and, of course, Home Depot has a 90-day return guarantee. HTH Regards, Jim
