I was surprised by the high quality of this bag. First, it’s a tool bag, but its appearance suggests it could be used for many other purposes. The leather is thick! It’s about 1/8” thick, and it’s really stiff. It also will show marks pretty easily. This is the kind of leather that takes on an awesome patina as it wears and is “broken in” The construction of the bag is top notch, strong stitching, reinforced with rivets. Solid quality hardware, chromed heavy buckles and shoulder strap clips. My only suggestion for improvement would be swivel clips, but the hardware included works well. There are metal feet on the bottom of the bag so when you set it down you don’t have to worry too much about what somebody spilled and damaging the leather on the bottom of the bag. The dimensions are about 18” long, 8” wide and about 7-1/2” deep. The only things I feel need to be mentioned, the leather is thick, and its stiff. It will get supple over time, but you’re going to have to break it in. The buckles need to be buckled before you try to lift the bag. I know it seems silly to mention, but the handle and strap are just waiting for me to pick it up… and if you do the contents of the bag will go spilling out, so buckle up!

18” long Leather Tool Bag This beautiful leather bag is almost, if not very, very close to being too nice for dirty old greasy tools. But if a journeyman wanted to make a good impression on a high class service call, this large capacity 18” long x 7 ¼” high, and 8” wide at the bottom tool bag would fit the bill (see attached photo with some tools inside the bag to give you some scale of the contents potential). The leather is thick as it should be like a pair of saddle bags, and saddle stitched and riveted where it needs to be. All beautifully executed obviously by someone that takes great pride in traditional craftsmanship and design. The adjustable length shoulder strap is equipped with heavy duty chrome detachable hook hardware on each end for optional shoulder carrying (see photo attached). The lid mounted alternative doubled-over luggage style carrying handle is triple riveted at each end as well as wrapping around the lid securing straps (see photo attached). And those lid securing straps wrap clear around the bag as they should be, riveted at the front, bottom and back sides, they are there to stay. The lid straps have chrome securing buckles near the bottom of the bag that allow for some degree of adjustability. Such quality gear well worth your dollar is hard to find these days. Lucky I found this one.

Thick rugged handsome leather built to last. Very sturdy with a canvas reinforced bottom inside. Single interior compartment with no pockets. Leather darkens and softens with age, use, and applications of conditioner. Supported by two wrap-around leather straps secured with buckles—no zippers. The bottom has 6 brass feet. It’s a tool bag that would not look out of place at a corporate executive conference. Expect comments at job sites, especially after showing the Klein Tools logo on the flap. It’s also a distinctive carry-on flight bag with matching leather shoulder strap. Made in Arkansas.

I am a do-it-yourself-er and I enjoy special projects around my home and neighborhood. I also help out my daughters at times in their homes. Rather than drag around my entire tool box for each project and then to have to grab all of the other tools that I don't keep in it, I can use this tool bag and take just what I need. Too many times, I have taken a shopping bag to load up the tools that I needed for a project. This tool bag is just the ticket for me. It is a heavy duty leather construction and I don't anticipate it ever wearing out. It is a bit stiff, but I imagine that once it gets regular use, it will soften up as any fine leather seems to do. It is large enough for quite a few tools, including hammers, screw guns, drills, etc that often take up quite a bit of space when you have to tote them around. At the end of the day, I can head back to the workbench and unload the tools I used to have them ready for the next time they are needed. This is a handy option for me. I am glad that I found this.

Unfortunately I no longer have possession of this tool bag. Upon opening the package my wife saw the bag and immediately claimed possession of it. She said it has the appearance of a high-end designer leather purse and I wasn't going to put dirty tools in it and put it into a work van. She is heavily in to crafting and will be using it for some of her tools and machines. VERY well made, sewn and riveted seams, heavy duty leather, positive close leather straps, and an adjustable shoulder strap. Really well made and very durable.

Expensive, but you get what you pay for and this is a masterpiece. 24" long with a full flap over. The leather is quite thick. The front, bottom and back are one solid piece of leather. The sides are added / secured with double stitching a rivets. The bottom has six feet (2 on each end and 2 in the middle). The bag comes with a hand handle and a shoulder strap. Like a good pair of boots, I've waxed/oiled this bag up and have it loaded up with tools and plastic bins of wing nuts, staples and grommets.
